【英文釋義】an inability to stop doing or using something, especially something harmful
【中文釋義】上癮
例：
drug addiction 吸毒上癮
his addiction to alcohol: 他對酒精上癮。

2. addicted：/əˈdɪk·tɪd/
【英文釋義】 unable to stop taking drugs, or doing something as a habit
【中文釋義】入迷的；上癮的
addicted to：常有貶義，後接名詞、代詞或者動詞的-ing形式。
例：
He is addicted to drugs.他吸毒成瘾。
She was addicted to TV. 她看電視上了瘾。
By the age of 14 he was addicted to heroin. 他14歲的時候，已經吸食海洛因上了癮。

例：

4. additive v. addicted:
additive側重于形容物，指事物使人上瘾；sth. is ~.
addicted側重于形容人, 指人對事物有瘾；sb. is ~ to sth.
例：
He’s addicted to tobacco. 他對煙草有瘾。
Tobacco is highly addictive. 煙草很容易使人上瘾。
