NetWare 5.1 Does Not Recognize CD-ROM Drive

原來主從盤還有要求，預設情況下要主盤才行。

果然把跳線跳到主盤就能正确識别光驅了。

actually, startup.ncf is in c:\nwserver - you can edit it using

NWCONFIG

However, the one you posted is probably accurate. Unless you have 2 processors, comment out the LOAD MPS14.PSM - actually, even if you

have

2 processors, you can comment it out, NW5.1 doesn't make much use of the second processor.

then, you will need to check the CDROM drive and make sure that the

jumper on it is set for Master and not Slave, and that it is actually

plugged into the primary IDE port and not the secondary. It will work

plugged into the secondary, but you will need to change the load line

to:

LOAD IDEATA.HAM PORT=170 INT=F

Note that if you do not want to take the machine down, you can

actually

test if the CDROM is on the secondary IDE port by typing the above

load

line at the console, then see if NetWare recognizes the CDROM. If it

works, just add that load line to c:\nwserver\startup.ncf using
