    簡介：

《美國企業家宣言》摘自美國人托馬斯 潘恩所寫的《常識》一書。1904年，美國《企業家》雜志将它作為發刊詞以激發企業家和國人的鬥志。此後百餘年中，滄海桑田，物是人非，但雜志扉頁上的這段話，卻從來沒有改變。企業家宣言，抒發的是一種内在的個人及企業的自尊自愛、自強自立，要有所作為，不甘平庸的決心。那種挺胸直立，面對社會的現實、個人的危機感。

我是不會選擇做一個普通人的。

如果我能夠做到的話，我有權成為一位不尋常的人。

我尋找機會，但我不尋求安穩，

我不希望在國家的照顧下成為一名有保障的國民，那将被人瞧不起而使我感到痛苦不堪。

我要做有意義的冒險。

我要夢想，我要創造，我要失敗，我也要成功。

我拒絕用刺激來換取施舍；

我甯願向生活挑戰，而不願過有保證的生活；

甯願要達到目的時的激動，而不願要烏托邦式毫無生氣的平靜。

我不會拿我的自由與慈善作交易，也不會拿我的尊嚴去與發給乞丐的食物作交易。

我決不會在任何一位大師面前發抖，也不會為任何恐吓所屈服。

我的天性是挺胸直立，驕傲而無所畏懼。

我勇敢地面對這個世界，自豪地說：“在上帝的幫助下，我已經做到了。”

I do not choose to be a common person.

It is my right to be uncommon—if I can.

I seek opportunity—not security.

I do not wish to be a kept citizen,

humbled and dulled by having the state look after me.
