可以使用 Microsoft Windows 組政策來優化和保護 View 桌面，控制 View 元件的行為，以及配置基于位置的列印功能。

組政策設定包含在名為 GPO 的條目中。GPO 與 Active Directory 對象相關聯。可以将 GPO 應用于整個域内的 View 元件，以控制 View 環境的各個方面。應用後，GPO 設定将存儲在指定元件的本地 Windows 系統資料庫中。

步驟1：找到View ADM 模闆檔案，并将其複制到AD域控制器中

View ADM 模闆檔案安裝在 View Connection Server 主機上的 安裝目錄\VMware\VMware View\Server\extras\GroupPolicyFiles 目錄中。

步驟2：在AD域控制器上運作組政策編輯器。

組政策編輯器打開指令：gpedit.msc

步驟3：從組政策編輯器導入View提供的組政策模闆

打開了組政策編輯器，從管理模闆按滑鼠右鍵“添加/删除模闆”

步驟4：導入所複制的view組政策模闆。

步驟5：導入後view的組政策模闆都會在管理模闆中。

步驟1：通過“組政策管理控制台”分發政策給特定的組，在運作菜單打開gpmc.msc，打開組政策管理控制台。

步驟2：建立一條組政策，在組政策管理控制台的組政策對象滑鼠右鍵按建立，敲入組政策名稱。

步驟3：建立好的組政策可以直接應用到特定的OU組上，直接拖動組政策到某一個組。

步驟4：點選某一條組政策，可以顯示該組政策被應用到哪些組上。

步驟5： 選擇某一條組政策，在設定項中，可以顯示該政策中哪些内容被修改過。

步驟6：組政策預設重新整理時間為90分鐘。可以通過更新組政策指令：gpupdate /force，強制組政策立即更新。

組政策更新的指令格式：gpupdate "/target:{computer| user}" "/force" "/wait:value" "/logoff" "/boot"

對于計算機配置類型組政策，用戶端可以通過重新開機進行組政策更新

對于使用者配置類型組政策，用戶端可以通過登出再重新登入進行組政策更新

步驟1：選擇某一條組政策，按滑鼠右鍵編輯，打開組政策編輯器。

步驟2：通過組政策編輯器，直接編輯之前導入的view組政策。

步驟3：對組政策某一條規則，輕按兩下後可以選擇啟用該規則。
