From May 10 to 11, 2024, the 10th Nantong "Tongpai Primary School Chinese Education" Seminar and Special Teacher Forum was held in the Second Affiliated Primary School of Nantong Normal School. Focusing on the "Exploration of Core Literacy-Oriented Chinese Contextual Learning in Primary Schools", this activity carried out various forms of discussions such as student literacy display, classroom teaching observation, special forum, and special report.
During the event, Xu Jingui and Xu Xibai, two primary school Chinese teachers in our city, were invited to participate in the salon discussion and lesson evaluation respectively. They are based on contextual learning theories, based on curriculum standards and students' literacy. The wonderful speeches were well received by the participating experts, and also gave a lot of inspiration to the front-line teachers who watched the meeting.
In the afternoon of the 10th, in the course evaluation session, Mr. Xu Xibai commented on the lesson "Let the True Love Leak Naturally". He pointed out that as the last memographic essay in the compilation of primary school Chinese assignments, how to let the true feelings flow naturally and truly is a huge test for both teachers and students. He believes that the instructor Xu Yingmei's classroom presents distinctive characteristics: closely related to the double-line clever structure, the clever guidance of the teaching materials, and the clever evaluation of teaching.
At the academic forum on the morning of the 11th, Mr. Xu Jingui focused on "Exploration of Contextual Learning in Primary School Chinese Oriented by Core Literacy", closely followed the keyword "Contextual Learning", and explained three questions: Why advocate Contextual Learning? What kind of situations are created for learning? What makes a good learning situation? Teacher Xu Jingui pointed out that based on the goal of "cultivating people with virtue", the curriculum objectives and process call for teaching to move towards practice in real situations. In Chinese teaching, attention should be paid to the three types of situations mentioned in the curriculum standards: real language use situations, learning situations, and work situations, which are developed in different paths, or create life practice situations, or learning and exploration situations, or virtual imagination situations, so as to achieve real, typical and meaningful situations.
Feihong sounded far away, and Hai'an whisperers once again bloomed brilliantly in Nantong teaching and research activities. In the future, under the guidance of Nantong Institute of Educational Sciences, the Hai'an Teacher Development Center will further play the leading role of famous teachers, actively create a new form of Hai'an small language teaching under the guidance of "Lixue Classroom", and contribute to the high-quality development of Chinese education in Nantong primary schools.
