Effective April 2, 2022, the company will recall a total of 6,493 ELYSION vehicles produced between October 12, 2021 and February 26, 2022.
Reasons for recall:
Due to the insufficient verification of the riveting manufacturing process, the tailgate brace bracket and the ball head riveting of the vehicle within the scope of this recall may break, resulting in the tailgate cannot be kept open, and the tailgate may collide with the user when it falls, which is a safety hazard.
Workaround:
Dongfeng Honda Motor Co., Ltd. will replace the improved tailgate strut mount assembly for vehicles within the scope of the recall free of charge to eliminate safety hazards.
