  • 用来表示对过去事实的猜想
    • 英语中常用向过去的时态表示不确定和否定,越过去的时态越不确定和否对
    • 用将来时态表示肯定,越将来越肯定
    • Even if Alice had not known / that they were going to the home / of the March Hare, she might have been able to guess / who lived there.

拟人
