Day 9 01/02/2023 Cradle Mountain to Turners Beach Berry Patch via Wilmot, a tiny town in Tasmania and arrived at Ulverstone, where we stay three nights.

Following the Tasting Trail Tasmania, we stopped at Turner's Beach Berry Patch, “Dessert Pizza from our garden” seemed very special, and we ordered one with very fresh berries on the top, which was very tasty.

Bass Strait, Tasmania, smoked salmon pizza sounds like Tasmania. We must order one.

There's a lot of fun hand-picked delicious berries.

At this time of the year, not many raspberries available, but there are many strawberries.

Some blackberries are very sweet, and a berry with any pint of red is so sour.

The reason we stay 3 nights at Ulverstone is that it only takes 8 minutes driving to Lillico Beach where

is home to a colony of Little Penguins.

Last night, we saw about 50 penguins. When it turned completely dark at about 9:30 pm, they slowly returned home to Lillico Beach.

This is the first time we saw so many penguins without joining a penguin tour, yet with the assistance of the volunteers, it turns to be a very pleasant experience.

We do appreciate the volunteers and Tasmanian organisers for their generous providing opportunities for visitors to be so close to watch the lovely penguins, which makes a sweet memory to our life.

We were unwilling to leave until 10:30 pm, “Bye-bye, little penguins.”
