关山古道
驿站如花
藏在沟壑林间的长宁驿
是其中的哪一朵？
历史深处
它结实的花蕊上
稍稍停歇又拍拍尘土走了的杜甫、岑参、胡缵宗
不像蜜蜂，像独行的马
奔向更远的秦州城了
长宁驿
这个并不宁静的古老驿站
终于在21世纪醒过来了。它最新的名片是：
张家川回族自治县新农村建设的示范村
靠养蜂而闻名甘陕一带
2019年阳光明媚的春天
在深陷于浓烈之甜的长宁驿
一只只绕村飞舞的蜜蜂
相互传递着彼此的履历与消息
其中，不期而遇的那一只告诉我
一罐罐新鲜摇制而出
旋即被运往天南地北的松花蜜
是长宁驿捧给人世间的古老技艺
和大地的甜
Peace Garrison (or Changningyi) *

On the ancient corridor along Guanshan Mountain,
outposts popped up like flowers,
one of them is Peace Garrison, hidden amongst woodsy hollows.
I wonder what kind of flower it is?
Deep in history’s memory lane,
the heady pistils of this flower
rubbed shoulders with poets such as Du Fu, Cen Can, and Hu Zuanzong,
who, more like lone horses than bees,
went farther west, all the way to Qingzhoucheng.
Peace Garrison, or Chang·ning·yi as locals call it,
saw little peace in ancient times,
but woke up in the 21st Century with a new identity. Its new business card reads:
Model Agricultural Village, Zhangs’ Muslim Autonomous County,
known for bee-keeping around Gansu and Shaanxi provinces.
On a beautiful sunny day in 2019,
Peace Garrison immersed itself knee-deep in sweet honey,
where bees flew and danced in circles,
exchanging résumés and travel-logs.
In a chance encounter, one of them told me
its freshly-churned jars of honey, with the label of Songhua Honey,
would soon take a long journey to the faraway world;
it is made according to Peace Garrison’s specific folkways
and with all the sweetness the earth can offer.
