centos5.4下Webmin管理系列（一）：webmin的安装

一、确定CentOS已经安装，并且所需服务也已成功装好

    我在192.168.1.250的一台服务器上安装了CentOS5.4版本，安装了Apache+MySQL+Samba+FTP+DNS+DHCP+SQUID等。从inittab中修改启动级别为3。重启后离开机房，使用办公室里192.168.1.188的电脑远程SSH到服务器。

二、下载WebMin的最新版本，并安装

    进入www.webmin.com，点击左侧download区域中的RPM，复制链接的下载地址，回到pietty终端中：

出现错误，换用tar.gz包，再做一次：

解压缩，并进入文件夹，开始安装：

需要使用root身份。

Webmin uses its own password protected web server to provide access

to the administration programs. The setup script needs to know :

 - What port to run the web server on. There must not be another

   web server already using this port.

 - The login name required to access the web server.

 - The password required to access the web server.

 - If the webserver should use SSL (if your system supports it).

 - Whether to start webmin at boot time.

Web server port (default 10000):

Webmin has been installed and started successfully. Use your web

browser to go to

  https://hd:10000/

and login with the name and password you entered previously.

Because Webmin uses SSL for encryption only, the certificate

it uses is not signed by one of the recognized CAs such as

Verisign. When you first connect to the Webmin server, your

browser will ask you if you want to accept the certificate

presented, as it does not recognize the CA. Say yes.

ok，安装成功。

现在再思考刚才RPM没能安装成功的原因，很可能是非root身份导致的。

今天重新安装系统，又重新试了一遍rpm包，安装成功，注意身份必须是root：
