In the 2001–02 season, at the age of 19, Peter Cech broke the Czech domestic league record for time without conceding goals at Sparta Prague. In the Champions League, Cech was also one of the most difficult goalkeepers to break, having not lost his goal for more than 1,000 consecutive minutes. This statistic allowed Cech to transfer to Rennes in the French Football League in the summer of 2002, but in the middle of his second season in Ligue 1, he was awarded a transfer contract from Chelsea Football Club in the English Premier League, and the two sides signed a five-year contract. In the summer of 2004, Petr Cech joined Chelsea for £7 million, setting a record for the value of a goalkeeper in the club's history. Cech's acquisition strengthened the team's strength in this position, with a serious and healthy competition with Carlo Cudicini. Cech immediately attracted attention with his height, and had an incredible agility and was extremely confident when attacking. He began his Chelsea career as the preferred position of chelsea manager Jose Mourinho at the time. (Image courtesy of Oriental IC)
In 2005-06, Chelsea's defence was not as watertight as it was in 2004-05, but Cech continued to play well and became a major reason for the team to defend his title. But what many people don't know is that the venerable Cech played with a shoulder injury for 14 months. (Image courtesy of Oriental IC)
In the 2007–08 season, Cech overcame ankle, hip and face injuries to help the team advance to the Champions League final in Moscow with a series of key saves, making a textbook save against Cristiano Ronaldo in a penalty shootout, but the team eventually lost to Manchester United. In the 2008–09 season, Petr Cech finally got rid of injuries, making 35 Premier League appearances and maintaining full attendance in the Champions League, including outstanding performances against Barcelona. In 2009–10, Cech cemented his reputation through another season of steady play and helped the team win both the league and the FA Cup for the first time, winning the Golden Glove award again. Of the 34 league games this season, he has 17 games guaranteed the team does not concede goals. (Image courtesy of Oriental IC)
On 29 June 2015, Premier League giants Arsenal FC officially announced that they had officially signed Cech from Chelsea, with a transfer fee of £10.9 million and a three-year contract for a contract of £100,000 a week until the summer of 2018. On 18 July 2015, in the final of the Premier League Asian Cup, Cech made his arsenal debut. (Image courtesy of Oriental IC)
At Euro 2004 in Portugal, Petr Cech made a total of 11 appearances for the Czech Republic from the qualifiers to the final round. Cech guaranteed that the Czech Republic would not concede a goal in five of the games and finally helped the Czech Republic reach the final four, although the Czech team fell short in the semi-finals of euro 2004, but this did not affect Peter's value in the slightest, and he was also selected for the all-star squad of that European Championship. On 17 October 2007, Cech captained the Czech Republic in the preliminary stages of the 2008 European Championship in Austria and Switzerland. Although in the group stage, The Czech Republic led by Petr Cech lost 3-0 to Germany, in the following matches against Austria and Switzerland, Cech kept a clean sheet to help the team win. But against Turkey, the last opponent in the group stage, Cech's fatal mistakes caused the Czech Republic to miss the final round of Euro 2008. (Image courtesy of Oriental IC)
On 29 May 2012, Cech again represented the Czech Republic at Euro 2012 in Poland and Ukraine. In the group stage between the Czech Republic and greece, although Cech's "gate" was breached, he still managed to win 2-1. The Czech Republic managed to emerge from the group stage, reaching the quarter-finals and losing 1-0 to Portugal, led by Cristiano Ronaldo, in the quarter-finals. (Image courtesy of Oriental IC)
On 26 March 2013, Cech completed his 100th match for the national team in the Czech Republic against Armenia and helped the Czech Republic win 3–0. (Image courtesy of Oriental IC)
