Original title: Building an iron wall of data security

We must stimulate the public's sense of responsibility, honor, and participation in attaching importance to data security and safeguarding national security; let national security education penetrate the hearts of the people, comprehensively enhance the national security awareness and level of the Chinese people, consolidate the mass foundation of national security, and build an iron wall of national security.

On October 31, as the seventh anniversary of the promulgation and implementation of the Counter-Espionage Law approached, the state security organs announced three cases of endangering the security of important data, aiming to further enhance the attention of the whole society to data security and jointly safeguard national security.

The Counter-Espionage Law of the People's Republic of China was adopted at the 11th session of the Standing Committee of the 12th National People's Congress on November 1, 2014 and has been promulgated and implemented for seven years. However, in the consciousness of ordinary people, catching spies is a big matter involving state secrets and has little to do with themselves, and the current peaceful and abundant modern life has also made many people lose their vigilance and think that national security is far away from them.

In fact, national security is inextricably linked to everyone. With the rise of China's political and economic status, the country's door is gradually opened, the number of people entering and leaving the country is increasing year by year, and various hostile forces and interest groups are eyeing our country, while many people are completely unaware, especially in the era of big data where almost everyone has a mobile phone, many data generally looks complicated and complicated, has no meaning, but in fact, it is hidden in the mystery.

Take the three cases announced this time, one is that some airlines in China have been attacked by a certain foreign espionage intelligence agency, and some passenger travel records and other data have been stolen; the other is that a certain overseas consulting and investigation company has hired industry consulting experts with high remuneration to establish "cooperation" with the management personnel of dozens of large shipping enterprises and agency service companies in China, instructing them to extensively collect and provide basic data on China's shipping and information on specific vessels The third is that Li mou purchased online and privately set up meteorological observation equipment around important areas in China, and the collected data was directly transmitted to the outside world, and the overseas meteorological observation organization was actually initiated by a government department of a certain country in the name of scientific research, and one of its important tasks was to collect and analyze global meteorological data information and provide services for its military... It can be seen that the hidden risks of data security are all around us.

It must be noted that national security has long been extended from the existing political security, homeland security, military security to the economy, culture, science and technology, information, ecology, resources and many other aspects, hacker attacks, telephone theft, illegal mapping, illegal mapping, photography, and even the release of false statements to produce malicious public opinion may threaten national security, the information age, data security is related to national security and public interests, the need for every level of organization, every citizen to enhance awareness, strengthen responsibility, put in place.

To raise national defense awareness and safeguard national security, we are on the road. The "National Security Law of the People's Republic of China," the "Counter-Espionage Law of the People's Republic of China," and other laws and regulations have provided a legal basis for standardizing and strengthening the anti-espionage struggle on the hidden front, and our country has always had the glorious tradition of relying on the masses to "catch spies and counter-espionage." Film and television dramas such as "Visitors on the Iceberg," "Station No. 51," and "Yangcheng Dark Sentinel" not only make the broad audience relish it and have endless memories, but also reflect the magnificent historical facts of the struggle. In recent years, cases such as the masses reporting espionage clues and the arrest of spies have also continuously demonstrated the people's strength of mass prevention and mass governance.

Data security issues cannot be underestimated. Counter-espionage activities are a modern war in which the smoke of gunfire cannot be seen, and this battlefield is more hidden, more complex, and broader than the traditional battlefields of the past, and we need to adhere to the overall concept of national security as the guide, coordinate traditional and non-traditional security, uphold the strong belief of relying on the people and mobilizing the masses, advance with the times, innovate thinking, and carry out a variety of propaganda and education activities while severely cracking down on espionage elements, such as publishing relevant books, shooting vivid and tortuous main themes of counter-espionage film and television dramas, holding relevant knowledge contests, and using cases to explain themselves. Through extensive, vivid and diverse forms of education, it plays a subtle role in stimulating the public's sense of responsibility, honor, and participation in attaching importance to data security and safeguarding national security; broadening the channels for obtaining national security knowledge, making national security education deeply rooted in the hearts of the people, comprehensively enhancing national security awareness and level, consolidating the mass foundation of national security, and building an iron wall of national security.
