Yin Jifu was a Western Zhou Taishi, the compiler of the Book of Poetry, a famous politician, military and literary scholar in Chinese history, a native of Fangxian County, who was buried in Fangxian County. In the town of Yin Jifu and Qingfeng in Fang County, there are still his tombs, tombstones and Baotang Temple dedicated to him.
The Book of Poetry praises "WenWu Jifu, Wanbang for the Constitution", "Jifu recitation, Mu Ru Qingfeng". Yin Jifu was 281 years earlier than Laozi, 301 years earlier than Confucius, 512 years earlier than Qu Yuan, 1553 years earlier than Li Bai, 1563 years earlier than Du Fu, and 1654 years earlier than Bai Juyi. From the literary style of Yin Jifu's poems, the influence of his famous ideological art on posterity, and his contribution to the compilation of the Book of Poetry, Yin Jifu can be called "the ancestor of Chinese poetry". Baotang Temple is a temple dedicated to Yin Jifu, built in the Han Dynasty, the Ming Dynasty reached its peak of scale, and then due to war, it gradually became deserted. In 2016, the Fangxian government began to rebuild the Baotang Temple, which lasted two years, and the reconstructed Baotang Temple was fully completed and officially completed, exactly 500 years after the Ming Dynasty Daxing. Because of the special status of "Chinese poetry ancestor", Yin Jifu called Baotang Temple "the temple of the world's readers".
With an area of about 100 square meters, Baotang Temple is a palace-style building with brick and wood and stone chisel structures. Belonging to the Sanjin Temple, the existing grottoes excavated in the Western Zhou Dynasty are artificially excavated on a hanging rock, and the grotto sits west to east, divided into two halls, all of which are stone halls. Between the upper and lower naves, 38 stone steps are excavated from the right side of the lower nave and the upper nave is led by a stone-carved parapet. The temple enshrines a stone statue of Zhou Taishi Yin Jifu during the Spring and Autumn Period, as well as the statues of the Three Sects and the Eighteen Arhats. Inside the temple, there are shrines, niches, balconies and inscriptions, Buddha statues, animals, flowers and plants, vivid and vivid appearance, and exquisite carving techniques. There is the old site of the ancient opera stage. The gate is carved from square stone, and the exquisite stone doors, stone windows, pillars, and fences in the temple are all carved from the cliffs. The spacious platform in front of the temple has a tall and solemn stele with a relief dragon and phoenix stele cap, and the sacred beast is chiseled on the rock, which is vivid.
