1905 Movie Network News One of the most anticipated local science fiction works of the year, "Mars Xenomorph", exposed the director's hand-drawn illustrations, and the protagonist "mutation" process played by Hideaki Ito was presented to the audience for the first time.
Directed by Takashi Miike, who has directed "The Great War of the Extreme Path" and "The Cult of Evil", "Mars Xenomorph" is a group of big actors such as Hideaki Ito, Takei Sakura, Tomohisa Yamashita, Takayuki Yamada, Shun Oguri, and Rinko Kikuchi. Based on a manga by Takaya Yu and Kenichi Tachibana, the film tells the story of humans who have dropped algae and adaptable cockroaches that are used to improve the environment to make Mars more habitable. Unexpectedly, however, these creatures possessed intelligence and fought back against humans.
The hand-drawn illustration by Hiroshi Soma shows how the protagonist Komachi Koyoshi, played by Hideaki Ito, "mutated", injected the DNA arrangement of insects into the cells of the body according to the "baguzu operation" of Dr. Akira Honda, played by Oguri Shun, thus gaining insect ability, and the crew of the Baguzun 2 after transformation can face the challenges of the "xenomorphs". In the film, the duels between the "xenomorphs" and the actors are shown in cg effects, and the actors need to challenge many different action scenes during filming, so the director's illustration assistance is particularly important.
It is reported that "Mars Xenomorph" is still undergoing post-cg special effects processing, and it is expected to complete the entire film by the end of February. The film is scheduled to be released nationwide in Japan on April 29.
