Doing what no one else has done is Evanbo's belief in life. After fully learning the knowledge of the melon industry in Anhui, in 2018, Wuquan Town added a 50-acre melon land, a new industry was conceived in this land of hope, and Yi Wenbo planted the first stubble melon seedlings.
The confident Evanbo encountered technical difficulties in the planting process due to his lack of experience. "At that time, the seedlings turned yellow after the melon was on the shelves, and we didn't know the reason, but after communicating with experts in Anhui, we learned that in the past, this land was planted with saplings, and the fertility was poor, so the seedlings were yellow."
In August of the following year, a sudden heavy rain put Iwenpo's small melons to the test. Because the anchor on the pole frame was not deep, a heavy rain overwhelmed the pole frame. In Yi Wenbo's words, it was "completely destroyed" that time, with losses of at least more than 400,000 yuan.
Although the losses were heavy, it brought new experience to Evanpo. In 2021, Evanpo regrouped and improved the technology, and the small melon was once again growing with full strength.
Recently, Yiwenbo's YanglingJiQin melon planting base is full of vitality, and the mature melons you squeeze me, I squeeze you, like a blue ocean, ups and downs, endless. The big ones are like watermelons, the small ones are like fists, some hide under the leaves to cool off, and some shyly stick out half of their faces and enjoy the sunbathing to the fullest. "This year's mu production capacity reached 400 pounds, generally a pound of melon seeds can sell for about 26 yuan, we processed a pound after selling 50 yuan, equal to double the profit." Coupled with the income from the peel and root, the income is expected to reach one million yuan this year. "The melon baskets in the hope of a bumper harvest are like "golden bumps", and Evan bo is particularly excited to calculate the income account for us.
From planting, harvesting, to processing, sales, a complete industrial chain of melons and vegetables is formed here. At present, this new industry has been promoted in the surrounding counties and districts, and Yi Wenbo has also registered his own trademark, and he is full of confidence in the future. "I want to do a solid job of my own brand first, promote it from Yangling, and hope to make this industry bigger and stronger, promote it to the field, and drive the surrounding masses to plant melons and gourds together, so that everyone's pockets are bulging."
