In 1943, during the War of Resistance Against Japanese Aggression, the New Fourth Army, which was active in the Soviet-Chinese base area, set up an underground military station in Shanghai. Due to the traitor's whistle-blowing, the station was discovered by the enemy. After the comrades of the workstation were alert and calm in coping, the danger was finally turned into a disaster. However, the enemy was still not satisfied, and stepped up the blockade of the urban area and Wusongkou to search for the whereabouts of the materials at the military station. The Shanghai underground soldier station played a major role in transporting military supplies and supporting the struggle in the base areas. In order to strengthen the strength of the military station, a certain unit of the New Fourth Army decided to send Liang Hong to Shanghai to participate in the work of the military station.
