Based on the true story of rugby player Michael Oher, the film tells the story of Michale Oher, a black orphan, who slowly finds himself and grows into a rugby star after meeting the kind Mrs. Tausy.
The film is also the main theme of the American model, using the success of a small character to interpret the level of social development and national feelings. But it did not make a film called the elimination of racial discrimination, but let everyone discover their own goodness, dignity and value.
It is worth mentioning that Quinton Aaron, who plays Michael, is working as a security guard for the concert before the audition. After the audition, he left his contact details and said he would play Michael Oher if he wouldn't be bothered to do concert security work.
Michael was born into a poor family, his father was unknown, and his mother Denise was forcibly taken away from michael since he was a child because of drug use. Despite growing up in such an environment, Michael did not lose herself. Michael is kind and after the game is over everyone has dispersed, he starts to clean up the garbage, and it is this scene that catches the eye of Mr. Taussi; Michael is innocent, and when Anne helps him clean up the room, he says, "i never had one." Michael is even more eager for affection, as Denise tells Leigh Anne, Michael is a runner, no matter how many foster families are changed, no matter where his mother is, he will always find her and escape back to her. Separated from his brother, but still able to recognize him at a glance, the hug after the two recognizes each other makes you feel the diffusion of that kind of affection, and at the same time reveals the helplessness of life, just like Michael explained in the car. So when he officially became a family with the Taussi family, Michael was so happy that he said that he had already regarded everyone as a family; so he was so opposed when Anne was preparing to go into the slum, and even more angry with the boss of the ground after Anne was verbally humiliated; so when he was in a car accident, he desperately protected little Shawn.
Michael's entry into wingate Christian school is also full of American overtones, a private Christian school where 99% of the school is white (which explains why Ohher is looked at strangely by so many white people). On the court, Oher is so big, but he can skillfully and flexibly dribble the ball to the basket, this scene was seen by the rugby coach, he felt that this person must have talent, so he agreed to help Ohher apply for admission. It's just that his GPA is only 0.6 (popularized, the American base score system: a-4.0 b-3.0 c-2.0 d-1.0 f-0), which is equivalent to 0, which was opposed by a group of teachers when it was approved, but the coach in the movie easily persuaded everyone with the original intention of the school, and I have to say that it is very American.
The more joyful plot in the movie is the relationship between Michael and Little Shawn, although The little Sean is small, but very assertive, like a little adult, taking the initiative to say hello when they first meet, not minding Michael's big man, not minding his skin color, just like a normal peer.

The film is also Lily Collins' film debut, in which she plays her sister Collins Tausy. Lily Collins has a beautiful face, a classical appearance, and an outstanding temperament, and is known as Little Audrey Hepburn.
Under the warmth of the love of the Towsy family, Michael slowly opened the door of his heart, and then he was greatly strengthened and invincible, and countless teams came to compete for Michael, although old-fashioned but very infectious, and it was also the most joyful moment of the film.
The plot reversal point comes from Michael's choice of college, michael choosing the school that the Taussis like instead of the more powerful Tennessee University or Louisiana State University. Regardless of the movie, this point belongs to a certain extent to the protection of individual rights, reflecting the belief in the equality of Americans, which is worth learning. But on the other hand, it also reflects the prejudice that people always take things for granted, which is also a weakness that movies have to show.
The weaknesses of human nature are vividly displayed in the film. When Anne dined with a few noble ladies, some said that Anne you were overflowing with sympathy again, some said anne, you should be wary of this big man, and when Anne told them that he was not planning to adopt Michael on a whim, the expression on their faces was very good, and they were surprised to the point of dumbness.
