Huang Jiaju is undoubtedly the soul of beyond, and when he was a teenager, he began to contact foreign rock stars such as the Deep Purple Band, Zeppelin, David Bowie, and they also became the leaders of Huang Jiaju on the road to rock and roll.
In the early 1980s, Wong Jia-ju first met Ye Shirong, and when he came and went, he found that they had similar musical interests, so they formed a band together, and the first lead guitarist Deng Weiqian named it "Beyond". After an initial personnel change, Beyond was finally finalized as a foursome of Wong Ka-koo, Wong Kwan-chung, Wong Ka-keung and Ye Shi-wing.
After the early attempts at art rock and roll, Wong Ka-koo began to create in Cantonese, and Beyond, who aimed the market positioning at the general public, became famous after the release of his debut album "Goodbye Ideal", and Wong Ka-koo's creative talent began to shine.
While beyond has become the hottest band at the moment, Huang Jiaju has also become the most outstanding creator in China, and classic works such as "Like You", "The Sea and the Sky", "Really Love You" and other classic works are composed by Huang Jiaju, which is imprinted with a distinct personal style.
What is valuable is that Huang Jiaju has never hesitated to express his goodwill. In 1991, he led Beyond to Africa to visit the poor people of the Third World and established the Third World Fund.
