On October 17, 2012, the Boston Celtics and free agent Leandro Barbosa reached a signing agreement that the two sides would sign a one-year base salary contract. On February 22, 2013, the Washington Wizards sent Jordan Crawford to trade with Leondro Barbosa and Jason Collins from the Celtics. The Wizards then cut Barbosa. On January 9, 2014, the Phoenix Suns announced a short, 10-day contract with Leondro Barbosa. On January 19, 2014, the Suns signed a second 10-day contract with Barbosa. In 2013-14, Barbosa played in 20 games for the Suns, averaging 7.5 points, 1.9 rebounds and 1.6 assists in 18.4 minutes per game. In 2014-15, Barbosa played in 66 regular-season games for the Warriors, averaging 7.1 points, 1.4 rebounds and 1.5 assists in 14.9 minutes of playing time. On June 17, 2015, the Warriors defeated the Cavaliers 4-2 on aggregate, and Barbosa won the 2014-15 NBA championship with the team. On July 7, 2015, the Warriors and Leandro Barbosa reached an agreement to renew their contract. On July 14, the two sides signed a one-year contract worth $2.5 million. On July 7, 2016, the Phoenix Suns and Leandro Barbosa reached a signing agreement. On July 20, the two sides officially signed a two-year contract worth $8 million.
