Hard to say goodbye! The 41-year-old veteran Pizarro waved off the field

After the end of the promotion play-offs between Bremen and Heidenheim in the early hours of this morning, the 41-year-old Bremen star and Peruvian veteran Claudio Pizarro also officially retired.

Pizarro was born in 1978 and debuted in Pescolo Athletic in Peru, and in 1999, at the age of 21, he officially signed up for Bremen in the Bundesliga.

He was the longest-serving bundesliga player, playing a total of 490 Bundesliga games for Bremen, Bayern and Cologne in 21 years of his european career, scoring 197 goals and winning six Bundesliga titles and six German Cups.

The veteran waved goodbye and Pizarro also served as the flag of the Peruvian national team and wished him a chance to enjoy life after retiring.
