Elvin Hayes (born November 17, 1945 in Rayville, Louisiana), height: 2.06 m, former American professional basketball player, plays as a center/power forward.

Elvin Hayes was inducted into the Naismith Basketball Hall of Fame in 1990.

Elvin Hayes was drafted by the San Diego Rockets (now the Houston Rockets) in the 1968 NBA Draft in Round 1 and was named to the NBA's All-Rookie First Team in his rookie season.

In April 1984, Elvin Hayes officially announced his retirement.

In his 16-year NBA career, Elvin Hayes played 1,303 games, playing 50,000 minutes, and only 9 games did not play, which can be called the NBA "Ironman" of the entire 70s.

In 1996, he was selected as one of the top 50 NBA superstars.

The No. 11 jersey was retired by the Wizards as a memorial.
