Saaaaaaa Sister Cheyangshi went to the Olympics

On March 20, The famous athlete Ofe Yangshi in our province won the third place in the 2021 National Race Walking Championships and Olympic Games with a personal best of 1 hour, 24 minutes and 45 seconds, and at the same time won the ticket for the Tokyo Olympic Games.

Sister Qieyang Shi, who loved sports since childhood, was born in Ganzihe Township, Haiyan County, to an ordinary Tibetan herdsman family. In September 2006, Sister Qieyang Shi entered the Qinghai Provincial Sports School. At first, Sister Qieyang Shi trained not to race walking, but to run middle and long distances, and it can be said that it is a coincidence that she can get along with race walking. At that time, the race walking team selected athletes, and the coach asked Sister Cheyang Shi to accompany her teammates to the playground to "walk two laps", but she did not expect that this inadvertent "sparring" had become the starting point for her and race walking.

After switching to the race walking project, Cheyang Shijie improved rapidly and gradually won medals in domestic and international competitions. At the 2012 London Olympics, Cheyang shijie finished second in the women's 20 km race walk and broke the Asian record. At the 2018 Asian Games, she finished second in the women's 20 km race walk. At the 2019 World Championships in Athletics in Doha, Sister Cheyangshi finished second in the women's 20 km race walk. She then won the 2019 IAAF International Challenge Women's Overall Title. Since entering the national team in 2010, Sister Cheyangshi has been working hard and striving to be the first in the race walking arena. Regardless of the ups and downs of the results, this girl who walked from the Haibei grassland to the international competition field has never stopped chasing the footsteps of her dreams.

Every time she stepped onto the field, Sister Cheyangshi's goals and beliefs never changed. "As long as you play, you are running for the gold medal." No one on the field is afraid of anyone, the biggest opponent is himself, to show the best competitive state and mental outlook, because I represent China. Sister Cheyangshi said that when you finish the race and step off the podium, the result will return to zero.

The postponement of the Tokyo Olympics did not shake Cheyang Shijie's firm confidence in chasing her dreams, but made her train harder until she got her Olympic tickets. "After 9 years, I finally broke my personal record and am very happy!" In the eyes of Sister Cheyangshi, this achievement is expected. "I practiced very solidly during winter training, so I had enough confidence. The Tokyo Olympics may be the last battle of my sporting career and I will try to do my best. ”

"Sister Qieyang Shi has always insisted on training hard, striving to improve her physical fitness and technical level, conscientiously completing every training and competition, being down-to-earth, and focusing on training and competition, which is worth learning from all Qinghai athletes." Wen Weidong, director of the Competition Department of the Provincial Sports Bureau, said that as a sports athlete on the Qinghai Plateau, her struggle course and outstanding achievements have fully demonstrated the sportsmanship of the sons and daughters of the Qinghai-Tibet Plateau who are particularly able to endure hardships and struggle.

Driven by her, a large number of Tibetan athletes have emerged in our province, among which Tashi Yangben, Li Maocuo, Qi Ji Dolma and other athletes have been selected for the national athletics (race walking) training team. With an iron will, Qiyang Shijie has won many good results and become the leader of Qinghai race walking, and her outstanding performance has contributed to the cause of qinghai and even national race walking sports.

"There are two important games to participate in this year, the Olympic Games and the National Games, and I may be retiring after the games, so the two races this year are very important for me and I must give my all." Sister Cheyangshi said.

Jiang Haiyun, the captain of a large team of sports work in Qinghai Province, said that Sister Qieyang Shi is very strict with herself in her usual training, and in order to compete for 20 kilometers, she uses the training volume of far more than 20 kilometers per day to prepare.

"Sister Cheyang Shi's qualification for the Tokyo Olympic Games has encouraged all athletes in our province to carry forward the spirit of tenacious struggle in future competitions, hoping that they will win glory for the people of all ethnic groups in Qinghai at the Tokyo Olympic Games and the National Games." Jiang Haiyun said.
