Li Xin is a photographer from Beijing.

Working at Sina Sports, he is mainly responsible for the interview and reporting of sports venues, and has experienced many world competitions, from the Olympic Games, the World Cup, and the World Championships. But "documentary photography is a more important experience than the Olympics and the World Cup, because it's all around you, testing your photography ability all the time," he said.

q: Where do you like to shoot on a daily basis?

a: Daily shooting should first clarify the theme, of course, the places they are familiar with are easier to play, and they are not going to strange places, you can show your talents. Since it is more and more difficult to shoot now, first of all, people's fear of the camera (but also out of the protection of privacy), which every photographer has more or less difficulties, then it is necessary to solve these problems from the mentality, choosing a relaxed and comfortable environment is a good choice, so that the surrounding crowd relaxes their vigilance against the camera.

q: What kind of moments or themes have touched you the most under the epidemic?

a: In recent times of shooting, I have almost covered passers-by from morning exercise to evening home. The all-weather shooting test is the photographer's ability to control, and it is also a big test for instant capture, because we don't know what will happen in the next second, but the theme is a "life under the epidemic". Two children were lying on the stone platform doing their homework, and on the day of mourning. The sudden outbreak of the epidemic has made everyone re-understand the emergency public safety and health incident. Students have to continue to study hard for their studies, but the pressure should be heavier than before.

q: During the more than 2 months of filming, did you feel the transformation of the city and people?

a: The city is deserted, people keep their distance from each other and wear masks. All this is reflected through the lens, no matter how we still have to be optimistic about life and meet the sunshine every day.

q: As the epidemic unfolds, what emotions are hidden under these masks of all kinds?

A: Behind the mask is a strange face, but also a smiling face, but the inner world is still somewhat complicated, and natural emotions will ferment with the event. From the circle of friends selling masks, to the masks can not buy their own creative masks, through the camera lens to focus on the target of masks, masks have become almost every day with closed eyes to see the object. Masks have become an indispensable travel item after mobile phones, in the era of epidemic prevention for everyone, we should still treat life calmly and appease our unpleasant emotions.

q: What do you think you can do as a photographer/photography enthusiast at this historical moment?

a: My job is to report on sports events, the current suspension of sports career, but the camera can not be put down, I also have to pay attention to the topic of mass sports and fitness. Of course, as a photographer, we should still record this era, and let us express the life of this period in the language of the lens. From the end of the Australian Open work to the epidemic life theme shooting makes me love photography even more, the idea is the negative of photography, come on!
