The 3rd floor of No. 8 Hunan Road was once the former residence of Zhao Dan, a people's film performance artist, who lived here from 1962 until his death.

Zhao Dan (June 27, 1915 – October 10, 1980), formerly known as Zhao Feng'ao, was born in Yangzhou on June 27, 1915, and is a famous Chinese film actor. He won the first prize for outstanding film from 1949 to 1955 by the Ministry of Culture for "The Crow and the Sparrow", and the Best Actor Award at the Chinese Film Century Awards in 1995.

Zhao Dan's former residence is a small three-story apartment-style western-style building. The misty floor-to-ceiling glass doors and windows, the dark oval iron fence balcony, and the wall covered with climbing tigers, whether it is a point or a face, it seems to be wrapped in a strong artistic temperament. Zhao Dan's apartment is located on the third floor, standing on the curved balcony of his home, you can see the grassy courtyard downstairs. No. 2, Lane 20, Hunan Road, is a small English-style country-style bungalow, built in 1940, which was the former residence of Chen Guofu, director of the Organization Department of the Kuomintang Central Committee.

Chen Guofu (1892-1951), name Zutao, character Guofu. A native of Donglin Town, Wuxing, Zhejiang. During the Republic of China period, he was a rightist in the Kuomintang. In 1926, Chen Guofu was elected as the second Central Supervisory Commission of the Kuomintang and served as acting director of the Central Organization Department. In 1929, at the age of 35, Chen Guofu was appointed deputy director of the Organization Department of the Central Committee and established the Kuomintang Central Political Cadre School. The two brothers were in charge of the Kuomintang party affairs organs, and at this point there was a saying that "the Chen Family Party under the Jiang Family" came to an end. Chen Guofu and his brother Chen Lifu had close relations with Chiang Kai-shek, relied heavily on Chiang Kai-shek during his time on the mainland, and were responsible for the organization and party affairs within the Kuomintang, known as the "Second Chen" and "CC Department".

Zhang Shutao (1899~1948) was named Naiji, the character Qi Zhai, the seventh son of Zhang Shiming of Nanxun. Before the death of his father before the War of Resistance, he received two million family property, became a real estate giant, and had sufficient financial resources to collect ancient money. And Tianjin Fang Yaoyu, Sichuan Luo Bozhao is known as "Southern Zhang Northern Bashu Luo". Zhang Shutao is not only a collector of ancient money, but also a famous bibliophile. From 1957 onwards, 105 Hunan Road (the gate was originally at 1708 Huaihai Middle Road) was used by the Shanghai Symphony Orchestra until July 2014 – with the completion of the new concert hall on Middle Fuxing Road, the Shanghai Symphony Orchestra moved away from the old site of 105 Hunan Road.

During the War of Resistance Against Japanese Aggression, the Hunan Villa was the residence of Zhou Fohai, a traitor who held important positions such as finance minister during the Wang puppet regime. There were often high-ranking Japanese military officers and important officials of the Wang puppet government, and Hu Lanchengcheng, then deputy director of the Propaganda Department of the Wang puppet government, visited the Hunan villa with Zhang Ailing many times.
