Although the production history of precision stainless steel materials in China is short, with the rapid development of the domestic manufacturing industry represented by the electronics industry, the demand for such materials in the domestic market continues to grow. However, various domestic and foreign product standards have not been corresponding to such extremely thin products.
Previously, the 0.02 mm stainless steel developed by TISCO became famous, and this precision foil known as "hand-torn steel" raised the production process of stainless steel foil to the world's leading level. Prior to this, the product was monopolized by Japan, Germany and other countries for a long time due to the difficulty of process control.
In the process of formulating the national standard of "Stainless Steel Precision Foil", TISCO organized the domestic expert group of units engaged in the development, production and use of stainless steel precision foil for a long time to become a standard preparation group. Because the thickness of stainless steel precision foil is extremely thin (thickness less than 0.05 mm), the standard focuses on the size tolerance, three-point difference, the same strip difference requirements have reached the order of microns, and draws on non-ferrous metal foil, coating industry, paper industry and other detection methods, the introduction of puncture strength, surface wetting angle detection, taking into account the electronics, medical, cladding and other industries for the performance requirements of extremely thin materials.
The formulation of the national standard of "Stainless Steel Precision Foil" standardizes the technical requirements of such products, fills the gap of national standards in this field, and also makes China's stainless steel plate and strip standard system more perfect. (End)
