At the forum, Chen Xiang briefly introduced the economic and social development of Nanchang County and the Xiaolan Economic Development Zone. Zengcheng Economic and Technological Development Zone was founded in 1988, upgraded to a state-level economic and technological development zone in March 2010, the current "one district and multiple parks" construction and management area of 99.9 square kilometers, is one of the three leading engines of Guangzhou's development. In recent years, Zengcheng Development Zone has actively implemented the strategy of a strong manufacturing area, vigorously developed advanced manufacturing, focused on the layout of strategic emerging industries and future industries, and basically formed three leading industrial clusters such as automobiles and new energy vehicles, a new generation of information technology, and financial technology. In 2020, the regional GDP was 58.17 billion yuan, an increase of 10.6% year-on-year, accounting for 55% of Zengcheng District.
