After the reunification of the world, although Ma Yuan was old, he still kept asking for help, breaking the Qiang people in the west, crossing his toes in the south, and the official to the general Fubo, and because of his meritorious title of new Marquis, he was revered as "Ma Fubo". His old age and strength, the ma ge shrouded body of the spirit of the deep respect of posterity.
Ma Yuan's ancestor was Zhao Hao, a general of the State of Zhao during the Warring States period. Zhao Haoshan Xiangma, with the title of "Ma Fujun", and future generations took "Ma" as their surname. Ma Yuan lost his father at the age of twelve, and he has great ambitions since he was a child. He once served as a postmaster, and because of his pity for the prisoners, he released them, abandoned his official position, and fled to northland county to raise cattle and horses, and for a long time, he was attached to many people. He often said to the guests: "Husbands are ambitious, poor should be strong, and old should be strong." ”
In the last years of the Western Han Dynasty, Wang Mang usurped the Han Dynasty, and the world was in chaos. Later, Liu Xiu swept through the Central Plains, took the throne as emperor in the first year of Jianwu (25 years), and established the Eastern Han Dynasty, at which time Ma Yuan was in Longyou, and was heavily regarded by the local separatist forces and appointed as the general of Suide. Ma Yuan is good at horses, and also has the ability to know people. Gongsun Shu proclaimed himself emperor in Shudi, and Kui Huan sent Ma Yuan to investigate, and when he returned, he said: "The frog ears at the bottom of the Ziyang well, and the arrogance and self-esteem, it is better to focus on the East." "The East is the Guangwu Emperor Liu Xiu." A few years later, Gongsun Shuguo was killed by Liu Xiu due to short-sightedness.
Later, Ma Yuan and Kui Huan fell out of peace, and Ma submitted to the Guangwu Emperor Liu Xiu. In the eighth year of Jianwu (32 years), Liu Xiu personally conquered Kui Huan, and the army was not familiar with the geography of Longxi, and the future was difficult to understand, and it was stagnant. Ma Yuan gathered the valley rice as mountains, pointed out the situation of mountains and rivers, marked the route of advance and retreat of the armies, and the twists and turns were hidden, and all of them appeared. Liu Xiu was overjoyed, so he extinguished Kui Huan and pacified Longxi. As a result, Ma Yuan became the first general recorded in the history of war to use a military sand table.
Enwei is used at the same time to smooth out the chaos. Since the end of the New Dynasty, the Western Qiang have often been on the border, entering the territory of Senegal and taking many border people captive. In the eleventh year of Jianwu, Ma Yuan served as the Taishou of Longxi and led an army to defeat the Qiang. However, the Western Qiang Road was far away, and the chaos was repeated, and the imperial court wanted to abandon it. Ma Yuan then went to the imperial court, placed the governor, set up the city of Guo, waited in the dock, enlightened the paddy fields, persuaded the people of the county to live and work in peace and contentment. Under the meticulous management of Ma Yuan, Long Right has been stable ever since.
In the seventeenth year of Jianwu (41), the southern Jiaotong woman Zhengbian and her sister Zhengyi gathered troops to rebel, and the counties of Jiuzhen, Nichinan, and Hepu all responded, capturing more than sixty cities in Lingnan, and Zhengbian established herself as king, and fengyi zhengyi as a general, breaking with the Eastern Han court. Emperor Guangwu appointed Ma Yuan as the general of Fubo and led the louchuan general Duan Zhi and others to attack the south. The large army marched along the sea, followed the mountain to open the road, and drove straight into more than a thousand miles. In the spring of the eighteenth year of Jianwu (42), the army marched to Langbo (in present-day Fengxi County, Tokyo, Vietnam) to engage the vanguard led by Zheng Yi. The conquest was invincible, and the city was defeated and retreated to the city. Ma Yuan led an army to besiege the city, and the Erzheng sisters fled into the Jinxi Cave overnight. The terrain of Jinxi Cave is dangerous, with only one exit, easy to defend and difficult to attack. Ma reinforcements surrounded for several months, and finally had to kill Erzheng, and then led more than 2,000 ships and more than 20,000 warriors to attack Jiuzhen County to the south, searching for the Yu Dang on the side of the requisition, and killing more than 5,000 people, before Lingnan declared peace.
Before Ma Yuan returned to the dynasty, he deliberately erected a large copper pillar in Nichinan County, and wrote "Great Han Fubo General Ma Yuanjian Here", boasting of martial arts, but also said that this is the southernmost point of the great Han border, known in history as "Ma Yuan Copper Pillar". Ma Aid's southern expedition not only subdued the Vietnamese people, but also opened roads in every mountain, built bridges in the face of water, repaired the city to govern Guo, and irrigated through canals, and the local people benefited from it. At the same time, Ma Yuan vigorously promoted the Central Plains county system in the local area. Emperor Zeng Shangqu said: "There are more than ten different laws between the Yue law and the Han law, and I request that the Han law be implemented in the Yue areas, the hereditary system be abolished, and the local law be abolished." "These measures have greatly promoted the process of civilization in the Lingnan region."
Northern Expedition to Wuhuan. When Ma Yuan's division returned to the dynasty, emperor Guangwu gave Ma Yuan's soldiers and horses a ride, and he ranked second only to the ninth secretary at the time of the court. Relatives and friends congratulated him, and Ma Yuan sighed: "Fang Jin Xiongnu and Wuhuan are still disturbing the north, and they want to attack them." When a boy dies in the wilderness, and buries his ears with a corpse wrapped in a horse, how can he lie on the bed and be evil at the hands of a child and a woman! However, in the past month, the Xiongnu, Wuhuan Koubian, Ma Yuan petitioned to attack, and Wuhuan saw the Arrival of the Han soldiers and immediately scattered.
In the twenty-fifth year of Jianwu, in 49 AD, the ethnic minorities in Wuling County rioted, and Ma Yuan again requested an attack, which was sixty-two years old. Unexpectedly, Ma Yuan fell ill and died. Subsequently, Ma Yuan was framed for miscommanding and causing heavy losses, and Emperor Liu Xiu was furious and snatched Ma Yuan's new posthumous seal. First of all, when Ma Yuanzheng crossed his toes, he often ate coix to treat rheumatism and avoid miasma. When Ma Yuan returned to Beijing, he pulled a cart of coix seeds to prepare for seeds, and people thought that it was a rare thing in the south, and the magnates all wanted to share a piece of the pie. Ma Yuan, favored, ignored it. Immediately after Ma Yuan's death, someone wrote a letter to frame him, saying that this was a car of pearls. Liu Xiu was even angrier. Ma Yuan's family was terrified and did not even dare to bury Ma Yuan's body in the original cemetery, so they had to bury it hastily. Bin peng did not dare to mourn in the past.
According to the legend of Danzhou Baima Well, According to legend, Ma Yuanping crossed his toes, led his army across the sea to Qiong, and landed in the area of Danzhou Baima Well. The Zhengde Qiongtai Zhi records that "Ma Yuan took a white horse to plansha to get the spring, because the well went to Haitao only forty-five steps, its taste was clear and sweet, and the townspeople set up a Fubo Temple on the well." Hakuba Well got its name from this.
General Fu bo's martial arts have shook Lingnan and have been worshipped as gods in the folk for thousands of years. Successive dynasties have also included the sacrifice of Fubo in the national ceremony, and have repeatedly sealed Fubo, so that the Fubo Temple (ancestral hall, nunnery) in the Lingnan region can be seen everywhere.
