Strawberry crab is a crab that Taiwanese scientists have found in Kenting waters that looks like a ripe strawberry, which is said to be a new species that has not been recorded in the world biological literature. Professor Huo Heping of the National Ocean University in Taiwan believes that the strange crabs, known as 'neoliomera pubescens', usually live mainly in the waters off Hawaii Island, the Polynesian Islands and Mauritius
The new crab head and breastplate are about 2.5 cm wide, and the whole body is bright red with white spots, like a ripe fresh strawberry. The 2 new crabs that have been found are both females. Scientists say that although they look somewhat similar to the "soft-haired new petal crabs" of the fan crab family, there are still obvious differences, so they are considered to be a new crab species
The crab resembles the soft-haired new-petaled crab of the family Fan Crab family , but is different from all known members of the genus Neoflora. The two specimens in the current possession are both females, and the crab's cephalothorax is about 2.5 cm wide, and the whole body is bright red with white spots, like a very ripe strawberry. Therefore, many people immediately shouted "strawberry crab" when they saw it.
