On November 8, local time, Guangzhou R&F officially announced that it officially renewed his contract with coach Dragan Stojkovic until 2021. Prior to that, Stojkovic had been a popular candidate for the Serbian national team coaching position, and after signing a contract extension with R&F, Stojkovic's future will continue to be tied to Guangzhou football.

After friendly consultations between Guangzhou R&F Football Club and the team's current head coach, Mr. Stojkovic (Cantonese name: Stoo gaoyu), the two sides reached an agreement on renewing the contract again today, and have signed a new working contract, which will be renewed until the end of 2021 on the basis of last year's renewal.
Stojkovic was in a good mood
Mr. Stojkovic has coached Guangzhou R&F in 76 games so far (including the Chinese Super League and FA Cup), with 35 wins, 15 draws and 26 losses, scoring 131 goals and conceding 120 goals. In August 2015, Mr. Stojkovic took over the coaching whip of the team, and led the team to successful relegation in the first season of coaching; the second season showed the initial technical flow of football in the league, the results steadily improved, and the FA Cup advanced to the final four; the third season led the team to the fifth place in the league, just one step away from the AFC Champions League qualification. Mr. Stojkovich's efforts and efforts in R&F coaching for more than two years have been highly recognized and praised by the industry and abroad, and while achieving excellent results, it has provided a broad space for local young players to grow, boldly reusing young talents and gradually taking shape in echelon construction.
