Yangcheng Evening News Reporter Cheng Xinghuan and correspondent Bao Liting reported: Yangcheng Evening News reporter learned from the Southern Power Grid Company that from January to September, the economy of the five southern provinces and regions continued to recover, superimposed on the low base effect and the impact of high temperature weather in the same period last year, and the electricity consumption of the whole society in the five southern provinces and regions reached 1100.4 billion kWh, an increase of 14.9% year-on-year, and an average growth of 9.2% in two years.
By industry, the primary, secondary, tertiary industries and residents' domestic electricity consumption increased by 19.6%, 13.5%, 25.1% and 9.2% respectively year-on-year. Among them, the primary industry has achieved rapid growth in electricity consumption, and agricultural production has remained stable; the growth rate of electricity consumption in the secondary industry in each quarter is 33.5%, 12.9%, and 1.6%, which is the main driving force supporting the growth of electricity consumption this year; the growth rate of electricity consumption in the tertiary industry in each quarter is 37.3%, 26.1%, and 17.4%, respectively, the growth rate is higher than that of the secondary industry, and the recovery trend is gradually strengthening.
By industry, in the first three quarters, the electricity consumption of the manufacturing industry in the five southern provinces and regions increased by 15.4% year-on-year. The growth momentum of high-tech industries is strong, and the electricity consumption of the nine high-tech and equipment manufacturing industries increased by 18.1% year-on-year, 2.7 percentage points higher than that of the manufacturing industry, of which the electricity consumption of electrical machinery and equipment manufacturing, computer and communication equipment manufacturing increased by more than 20%, 21.8% and 20.3% respectively. Due to the continuous recovery of domestic and foreign market demand, the overall growth rate of electricity consumption in the 12 major consumer goods manufacturing industries was 16.6% year-on-year, of which the growth rate of electricity consumption in the wood processing industry, textile and furniture manufacturing industries ranked in the top three, 24.0%, 23.3% and 21.1% respectively.
In the first three quarters, the service industry continued to maintain a stable recovery trend, and electricity consumption increased by 25.1% year-on-year. Among the eight major service industries, the electricity consumption of leasing and business services continued to grow at a rapid pace of 30.1%, while the electricity consumption of public services and management organizations, wholesale and retail trade, accommodation and catering industry increased by more than 20% year-on-year, with growth rates of 30.0%, 28.7% and 27.8% respectively.
