Zhou Huang (1714-1785), also known as Jingyuan (景垣), xuchu (徐楚), also known as Haishan (一作海山), was a native of Fuzhou, Sichuan. In the second year of Qianlong (1737), he entered the army. In 1756, he was sent to Ryukyu as a deputy envoy, and served as the general reader of the "Four Libraries of the Whole Book", the official Shangshu of the Ministry of Works, the Shangshu of the Bingbu Department, the chief master of the Upper Study, and the imperial history of the Left Capital of the Metropolitan Temple. In his lifetime, Zhou Huang was able to write poetry and poetry, with vigorous penmanship and rich works, including "Ryukyu Guozhiluo" and "Haishan Poetry Manuscript".
