"Who would have thought that under these solid tombs are not all complete remains, most of them are broken arms." Some have only half a body, some have an arm or a few pieces of broken bones, and some have no body at all, just a kettle, a gun, a few bullets or a few pieces of life supplies. ”

The Wuyuan Anti-Japanese War Memorial Park in Inner Mongolia covers a total area of 327 acres, and is composed of a memorial avenue, a city gate area, a memorial hall area for the War of Resistance Against Japanese Aggression, a cemetery park for martyrs, and a historical style area. The Martyrs' Mausoleum Park in Xin Peiling's mouth is the oldest and most touching place in it.

The Martyrs' Mausoleum Park was formerly a tomb of anti-Japanese martyrs, built for General Fu Zuoyi to commemorate the heroic martyrs. In the Battle of Wuyuan, 679 soldiers who sacrificed their lives for the country were buried here.

The Battle of Wuyuan, which took place in 1940, was the first campaign of the Kuomintang army to recover lost ground since the National War of Resistance Against Japanese Aggression, and it effectively pinned down the Japanese army in North China, eliminated the Japanese and puppet forces that invaded Hetao, and consolidated the barrier in the Great Northwest.

The Martyrs' Mausoleum Was Rebuilt and renovated in 2005. Nowadays, in addition to the tomb group, archways, memorial squares, monuments, memorial walls and other buildings have been built. The front of the memorial wall is engraved with the inscription of the Great Victory of wuyuan, and on the back is a list of martyrs who sacrificed their lives for the country in the Battle of Wuyuan, and the slogan on the head is "Shed the last drop of blood for the liberation of the Chinese nation", which is Fu Zuoyi's oath of Zhengzheng in that year.

Just as a poet who paid homage to the Martyrs' Cemetery wrote: The west wind sings praises the loyal soul, and the Qingming has not yet reached the point of tears. Bloody attack on Kou to recover the lost country, a bouquet of spring grass to comfort the heroic soul.

"There are no good years, but someone carries the weight for you." Yang Jing, a "post-80s" Beijing self-driving tourist, came here for the first time. "The heroes and soldiers here are probably many younger than me, and it is even more uncomfortable to think of this."

"After the reconstruction of the cemetery, the primary school in our county town moved the young pioneers' induction ceremony from the school to here." Wang Zhirong has been a teacher at Wuyuan County No. 2 Primary School for 10 years and is now the mother of a junior high school student. "Sweeping graves, offering flower baskets to the Martyrs' Monument ... Such activities make a lot of sense. ”

During the interview, the reporter learned that every time before and after the Qingming Festival, there are always traces of relatives and friends mourning here. Some monuments will be placed in front of a bouquet of flowers, some will be upside down with a cigarette...

Not far away, the Anti-Japanese War Memorial Hall area is a display area for documents and historical materials, and it is also an important punching place for visitors.
