Guogong Ancient Temple, also known as Eguo GongMiao, was built in the Ming Dynasty, is an important place for foshan to sacrifice ancestors in the iron industry, and is also the only existing master temple in Foshan's ancient handicraft industry.

Foshan as one of the four famous towns in the country, smelting and casting industry is one of the oldest and most important handicraft industries in Foshan, in the Years of Ming Chenghua and Hongzhi, Foshan people took iron smelting as their industry. The Xijiang and Beijiang rivers flow through Foshan, and water transportation is convenient, and the pig iron mined in the Liangguang area at that time was sold down the river to Foshan, and then fried and cast to mature iron ingots and other iron products.

During the Qing Dynasty (1796~1820), the Nail Guild Hall was set up on Xin'an Street, and the nail-making workshops were mostly located on Xin'an Street, and there were dozens of shops on both sides of the street, and its skills were praised throughout the country. From 1923 to 1925, it was the heyday of Foshan's nail industry, with more than 1,000 employees and an output of more than 1,000 tons, and the products were sold overseas in addition to domestic sales.
At the bend between Zumiao Road and Jianxin Road, there is an earthen mound more than 2 meters above the road surface, which has been archaeologically confirmed that it is made of discarded mud molds after smelting and casting, so it is commonly known as "mud mold gang", which is the ancient smelting and casting industry relics found and protected in Foshan.
