At the exhibition site, 23 works by 13 Tibetan and Han artists shine with the original Qing Dynasty murals in the ancient building, showing the fruitful results of exchanges, exchanges and blending in the field of literature and art of the Chinese national family in the new era.
It is understood that the "art lhasa art Lhasa" exhibition brand began in 2018 and lasted for 3 years, which is committed to combing the development of contemporary culture and art in Tibet and building a platform for artists of all ethnic groups in the Tibet Autonomous Region to communicate with the world. In 2018, the first exhibition focused on the representative works and important documents of the artists since the 1970s, with the theme of "Gathering at the Sweet Tea House", and showing the historical process of the budding, development and prosperity of Tibetan contemporary art since the reform and opening up.
Sheng Liyu, curator and co-founder of Daigo Art, said that the integration and mutual learning of Sino-Tibetan culture is the main line in the development of Tibetan contemporary art, and the artist Yu Xiaodong's famous work "Cheers to Tibet" records the history of artists of all ethnic groups who embrace spiritual ideals since the reform and opening up, and the spirit of the times contained in the works has become the origin of this exhibition. Today, Han Shuli, Yu Xiaodong, Pei Zhuangxin and other painters who were once students have been active in major art exhibitions and expositions at home and abroad; Tashi Dawa's book "Soul on the Leather Rope" has been adapted into a film, and these young people in the 1980s have grown into representatives of the art, novel, poetry, drama and photography circles in Tibet and even China, and have become historical witnesses to the new era of forging a solid sense of the Chinese national community.
According to reports, the Gibengang Art Center is the first cultural and artistic space in Tibet that has been transformed into a protective transformation of ancient buildings, and was unveiled in July this year. The exhibition transforms the art center's outer gallery into a permanent exhibition, which provides a long-term display of traditional Tibetan architecture, art, and patriotic historical facts, while the inner temple focuses on the charm of contemporary Tibetan culture and art.
It is reported that the exhibition will last until December 31 and is free to the public. (China Tibet Network reporter/Jia Huajia event organizer courtesy photo)
