The incident originated from a wedding: At 11 o'clock on September 4, the public security bureau and market supervision bureau of Shenmu City, Shaanxi Province, received a call from the masses, saying that after eating at the Platinum Han Palace Hotel in Shenmu City at noon on September 3, fever, diarrhea, vomiting and other symptoms appeared.
At 18:42 on the afternoon of September 6, the official website of the Shenmu Municipal People's Government released the "Explanation on the Symptoms of Fever, Diarrhea, Vomiting and Other Symptoms After Eating in a Hotel in Our City on September 3".
The reporter learned that after the incident, the Shenmu Municipal Party Committee and the Municipal Government attached great importance to it after receiving the report, and the Market Supervision Bureau took compulsory measures to suspend the catering service operation of the hotel involved at 13:00 on the same day, and took samples of the relevant ingredients used in the banquet at the first time and sent them to the Xi'an Product Quality Supervision and Inspection Institute for inspection.

From 11:30 a.m. to 13:00 p.m. on September 3, citizen Gao Linsheng set up a banquet at the Platinum Palace Hotel for the sake of marrying his daughter, and invited more than 80 relatives and friends. On the morning of September 4, some diners continued to visit Shenmu People's Hospital due to fever, diarrhea, vomiting and other reasons. As of 15:00 on September 6, a total of 26 people attending the banquet have been admitted to the hospital for treatment, and now their conditions are improving and their mood is stable.
