The military-themed TV series "Boat of Peace" is being broadcast in a prime-time set of CCTV. At the online press conference of the play held a few days ago, director Cao Dun, screenwriter Feng Ji, and starring Chen Kun, Zhang Meng, Yu Haolei and others told the story behind the scenes of "The Boat of Peace".
Director Cao Dun said that he had never taken on a military-themed TV series before, so he was not sure at first. But he later discovered that the play is made up of thousands of real people and small things, and these living people and things are the best grippers. Cao Dun revealed that the first actor to be finalized in this drama was Chen Kun, who had worked with him on "The Golden Powder Family". In order to show the real military style, Chen Kun began to practice from the basic skills such as holding a scalpel and standing in a military posture, and strived to truly interpret the special group of military doctors, which integrates military identity and doctor profession.
Chen Kun recalled that there was a rival scene between him and Zhang Meng in the play. Chen Kun went to the school to pick up Zhang Meng, saw through the window that she was reading the children's examination papers, the plain scene was expressed through the director's lens, and the romance of the long-term reunion between the husband and wife was about to come out, such a strong and real feeling made Chen Kun directly cry on the scene.
