At least five provincial Youth League committee secretaries have been adjusted this year, with the latest case coming from Guangxi.
According to the "Window of Leadership" on the official website of the Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region Communist Youth League, Meng Qipeng has been appointed secretary of the Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region Committee of the Communist Youth League.
Public information shows that Meng Qipeng, male, Zhuang ethnicity, born in October 1978, a native of Binyang, Guangxi, a graduate student, and a member of the Communist Party of China. He has worked in the Development and Economic Bureau of Liubei District of Liuzhou City and the Development and Reform Commission of the Autonomous Region, and has served as the secretary of the Luchuan County Party Committee, the vice mayor of Qinzhou City, the vice mayor of Liuzhou City, and the full-time deputy director of the Reform Office of the Autonomous Regional Party Committee.
Li Chu, former secretary of the Guangxi District Committee of the Communist Youth League, was transferred to the deputy secretary of the Guilin Municipal Party Committee in June 2021 and was immediately elected mayor of Guilin.
Before Guangxi, the top leaders of the Communist Youth League in Hubei, Shanghai, Tibet and Chongqing have been adjusted one after another.
Among them, in March, Zhou Senfeng, former secretary of the Shennongjia ForestRy District Party Committee and secretary of the Party Committee of the Shennongjia National Park Administration, was transferred to the secretary of the Hubei Youth League Provincial Committee, and Zhang Guihua, the former secretary of the Yichang Municipal Youth League; in September, Shangguan Jian, former deputy secretary of the Shanghai Youth League Municipal Committee, became the secretary of the Shanghai Youth League Municipal Committee; in September, Bata, secretary of the Communist Youth League Committee of the Tibet Autonomous Region, became deputy secretary of the Nyingchi Municipal Party Committee and acting mayor; in October, Zhang Jijun, secretary of the Chongqing Municipal Party Committee of the Communist Youth League, was appointed secretary of the Chengkou County Party Committee.
