Huaxi Town Mountain Stone World

Scenery of the town mountain village

After leaving Guiyang City, the car began to swing on the gravel mountain road, and after finally eagerly bypassing a few bends, the Zhenshan Village " hidden in the stone " appeared in front of the eyes.

At noon, Zhenshan Village is particularly fresh and elegant, and the wisps of cooking smoke on the gray roof melt into the mist of rainbow hues, as if it were real. City walls, houses, wind objects... Everything is as old as ever, and Zhenshan Village is still a quiet and idyllic deep mountain village, as if it is a "paradise" hidden in the stone.

Zhenshan Village, located on the huaxi reservoir peninsula in Guiyang, is a village inhabited by the Buyi and Miao ethnic groups, and is known as the "National Ecological Museum". Ancient for the military fort, the passage of time, still ancient charm still exists, closed and introverted, because of the peculiar geographical location and simple and simple village appearance, especially the unique stone slab building, for tourists fascinated.

"The green tree village is on the edge, and the green mountain is sloping out." Wandering on the cobblestone road halfway up the mountainside, through the red, yellow and emerald green woods, I found that Zhenshan Village was surrounded by water on three sides and by the mountains on the other, and most of the villagers chose water to live on the mountain, and hid between the mountains for farming. Looking up, the half of the mountain in the northeast corner, the cliff wall is like a knife and axe, strange and spectacular, and the village is far away, standing in front of the village, like the patron saint of the village. At the foot of the mountain is the watery mountain lake, because there were once swans roosting here, also known as "Swan Lake", thousands of blue waves around the mountain all year round, adding unlimited scenery to the town mountain village, leisure time can be boating lake scenery.

The stone steps into the village are gentle and deep, the walls of the ruined walls are covered with weeds, and from time to time, the smell of cow dung is mixed with the smell of local air. The stone-stacked city walls are built against the mountain, encircling the villages. Walk through the round gate made of huge stone arches, lean on the ancient stone wall and look down on the village, full of stone walls, stone houses, stone courtyards, stone alleys... It is like a stone kingdom, although it has been beaten by wind and rain, but the "stones" are as solid as ever.

The wooden and stone houses are built along the undulating heights of the mountain, and the roofs are paved with irregular stone slabs instead of green tiles, presenting a gray messy but rich and orderly ice pattern. This "stone slab as a roof cover" is one of the "Eight Monsters of Guizhou" and is also a typical symbol of the Buyi people's houses. Moreover, the walls, water tanks, grain tanks, mangers, etc., are also made of stone inlays or carvings. There are also stone alleys, stone streets, stone kans, stone arch bridges, stone arch gates connected, crisscrossed, in the seemingly random and natural or even a little chaotic layout, you can strongly feel that the whole village is like Yingtun Castle, orderly, with a strong defensive function.

From time to time, there are chickens and dogs barking between the village lanes, and the old people wearing the beautiful blue coats unique to the Buyi people sit idly in their own yards or talk in a low voice; children chase and play with each other, or take the initiative to take the guests to wander, followed by docile and leisurely earth dogs. The villagers greeted the tourists with simple smiles.

When passing through the last stone arch, standing on the staggered stone steps and looking out, the cascading "dry-column" stone slab buildings, ups and downs, jagged stone slab roofs, yellow-skinned old pumpkins stacked on the courtyard wall, fiery red peppers and golden bud valleys hanging under the low eaves, together with the surrounding green plants and clear water constitute a simple and dignified pastoral landscape picture.

Most of the people in Zhenshan have large courtyards, and the courtyard dam paved with bluestone slabs is the best drying ground, and whenever the sun comes out, the courtyard spreads out a golden yellow. The villagers who live in the "stone" inadvertently integrate life and art perfectly.

Zhenshan Buyi villagers still maintain the eating habit of eating two meals a day, in addition to rice, there are also konjac, bacon, dried tofu, fried black glutinous rice and other homely local flavors. Due to the proximity to the reservoir, there will naturally be no fish on the table, and with home-brewed rice wine and prickly pear wine, life will be delicious. Zhenshan Village also has a rich and colorful folk tradition, such as the "jumping field" activity on the tenth day of the first month of the first month of each year, playing reeds, dancing, fighting birds, etc., lively and extraordinary, and at the same time, there is also a "June Six Song Festival", the villagers set up a stage in the village to sing, absolutely true temperament, original ecology.

When you come to Zhenshan Village, you will appreciate not only the intoxicating scenery and the mystery of the ancient stone castle, but also the simple and quiet and beautiful farm life, which makes people "intoxicated and do not know where to go".
