Yantai City is located in the eastern part of Shandong Province, and during the Three Kingdoms period at the end of the Han Dynasty, it belonged to the Qingzhou Thorn History Department, which was then named Donglai County. According to incomplete statistics, there are fourteen celebrities from the three countries whose origin is Yantai City. Among them, there are two people in Zhaoyuan City of Longkou City, three people in Laizhou City, and six people in Muping District.
The two Celebrities of the Three Kingdoms in Longkou City are a father and son, the father is named Tai Shi Ci, and the son is named Tai Shi Heng. Tai Shi Ci (太史慈), courtesy name Ziyi, was diligent and studious in his youth, and as an adult he served as a member of the Song Cao Shi in Dong Lai County, where he was known for tearing up the Chapters of the Thorn History and assisting taishou in exonerating the county. In the fourth year of Emperor Xian's reign (193 AD), Beihai was besieged by the remnants of the Yellow Turban. Tai Shi Ci rode alone to break through the rebel siege and came to the plains to ask Liu Bei for help. Liu Bei immediately led his troops to the North Sea, and finally successfully broke the siege.
In the second year of Emperor Xingping's reign (195 CE), Taishi Ci left Donglai Commandery and came to Yangzhou to join Liu Sui, who was then the Assassin of Yangzhou, but was not used by Liu Sui. At that time, Sun Cezheng led his troops to invade Yangzhou. One day, when Tai Shi Ci was out on patrol with a soldier, he met Sun Ce and thirty cavalry under his command unexpectedly, and immediately launched a very rare single challenge during the Three Kingdoms period at the end of the Han Dynasty. After a fierce battle, Sun Ce grabbed Tai Shi Ci's hand, and Tai Shi Ci grabbed Sun Ce's helmet. After that, Tai Shi Ci led his troops to retreat to the area around Jing County, and continued to be an enemy of Sun Ce. After a fierce battle, Sun Ce finally captured Taishi Cisheng alive. Sun Ce admired Tai Shi Ci very much and included him in his command. At this point, Tai Shi Ci became a member of the Soochow Group.
Soon after, Liu Pan and Zhonglang, nephews of Liu Biao of Jingzhou Mu, led Huang Zhong and others to attack Xi'an County in Yuzhang County, posing a serious threat to Yuzhang County. Sun Ce appointed Tai Shi Ci as the Governor of Jianchang and led his troops in a contest with Liu Pan and Huang Zhong. After a fierce battle, Tai Shi Ci severely damaged Liu Pan and Huang Zhong, and the two never dared to attack again. After Sun Quan took charge of Jiangdong in the fifth year of Emperor Jian'an (200 AD), Tai Shi Ci was ordered to garrison the Haidian region and died of illness in the eleventh year of Emperor Jian'an (206 AD) at the age of forty-one. Tai Shi Ci's son Tai Shi Heng joined the Eastern Wu clique as an adult, and successively held the posts of Shangshu, Wu Jun Taishou, and Yue Riding Lieutenant, and the year of his death is unknown.
The first Three Kingdoms celebrity from Laizhou was named Gao Lan (高览), the character Yuan Bo (元伯), who was originally a general of Yuan Shao's department. During the Battle of Guandu in the fifth year of Emperor Jian'an (200 AD), Gao Lan led his troops to fight against Cao Cao, after which he was forced to surrender to Cao Cao due to Guo Tu's frame, and after the war, he was appointed by Cao Cao as a partial general and enfeoffed as the Marquis of Lai of Dong, the year of his death is unknown.
Two celebrities from the Three Kingdoms of Zhaoyuan City are from the famous Wang family, Wang Ji and Wang Hui. Wang Ji (王基), courtesy name Bo you, held the posts of Donglai Commandery (東莱郡郡), Langzhong (郎中), Qingzhou Beichai (青州別車), Henan Yin (河南尹), and Jingzhou Assassin (荆州刺史). During Sima Shi's control of the dynasty, Wang Ji successively participated in major battles such as the Battle of Eastern Wu and the Suppression of the Rebellion in Huainan, and was one of the most important generals of Sima Shi and Sima Zhao, successively serving as the general of Zhennan, the general of Zhengnan, and other positions, and died of illness in the second year of Cao Wei Jingyuan (261 AD) at the age of seventy-two. Wang Hui was the son of Wang Ji, who entered the career path in his early years, and then inherited his father's title, the specific deeds are unknown.
The second Laizhou Three Kingdoms celebrity named Wang Ji (王颀), also spelled Kong Shuo, was a general of the late Cao Wei dynasty, who served successively as a general of The Imperial Household, a Taishou of Xuanju Commandery, a Taishou of Daifang County, a Taishou of Tianshui County, and a Taishou of Runan, and participated in the Battle of Goguryeo in the fifth year of Cao Wei's reign (244 AD) and the Battle of Shu in the fourth year of Cao Wei's reign (263 AD), the year of his death is unknown.
The third Laizhou Three Kingdoms celebrity named Liu Yi, the character Zhongxiong, was recommended as Filial Piety in his early years, and later served as Yuzhou Engaged, Dr. Taichang, and Xiangguo Master Bookkeeper. After the establishment of the Western Jin Empire, Liu Yi also served as Shang Shulang, Tuoma Duwei, Shangshu, Si Li Colonel, Zuo Shu, Guanglu Dafu, etc., and was known for his fearlessness of power, and died of illness in the sixth year of Taikang of the Western Jin Dynasty (285 AD).
Among the six celebrities of the Three Kingdoms of Muping District, five are from the famous Liu family, named Liu Sui, Liu Dai, Liu Ji, Liu Shuo and Liu Shang. Liu Xuan (劉繇), a descendant of the Eastern Han Dynasty royal family, was recommended as a filial piety in his early years, and served as LangZhong and Shi Yushi. In the first year of Emperor Xingping's reign (194 CE), Liu Xuan was appointed as the Assassin of Yangzhou, but was attacked by Sun Ce shortly after taking office. After three years of fierce fighting, Liu Xuan not only lost his troops, but also died of illness in the second year of Emperor Jian'an (197 AD).
Liu Dai, Zi Gongshan, brother of Liu Xuan. In his early years, Liu Dai served as a servant in the imperial court, and later served as the Assassin of Yanzhou. In the first year of Emperor Xian's reign (190 AD), Liu Dai, Together with Zhang Miao, Zhang Chao, and others, created the Kwantung Alliance and fought against Dong Zhuo. In the third year of Emperor Jian'an (192 AD), hundreds of thousands of Yellow Turban troops invaded Yanzhou. Liu Dai did not heed the advice of Bao Xin, the minister of Northern Ji, and launched a hasty attack, resulting in his death in front of the two armies.
Liu Ji, Liu Shuo, and Liu Shang were all sons of Liu Sui, and the three joined the Dongwu Group. Liu Jiguan served as a lieutenant, a lieutenant general, a general in Zhonglang, a great si nong, a langzhong ling, a Guanglu Xun, and a Pingshang scholar, and once saved the life of Yu Tuan, a famous soldier of Eastern Wu. Both Liu Shuo and Liu Shang served as knight lieutenants, and their deeds and years of death are unknown.
The last three-kingdom celebrity in Muping District was named Xu Yue, the character Gonghe, a famous mathematician and astronomer in the Three Kingdoms period at the end of the Han Dynasty. In his early years, Xu Yue studied under the famous astronomer Liu Hong, and further perfected the Qianxiang Calendar, the first calendar he created in ancient China that took into account the unevenness of lunar motion, and made it implemented in Eastern Wu. Xu Yue also wrote two works that occupy an important position in the history of ancient mathematics in China- "The Testament of Mathematics" and "The Use of Arithmetic", especially in the "Arithmetic To Use" to design the style of the abacus, laying a solid foundation for the later development and use of abacus. In the first year of Emperor Yankang's reign (220 AD), Xu Yue died of illness.
