On the afternoon of September 12, Shanghai University Law School held the opening ceremony of 2021 new students and the meeting between teachers and students in the J202 Fang Runhua Auditorium of Baoshan Campus. Wen Guo, Dean of Shanghai University Law School, Xu Guoming, Secretary of the Party Committee, Li Fengzhang, Lu Xuefeng, Yuan Zhenfu, Vice Deans, Wang Guozheng, Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee, and Associate Professor Yan Shipeng, representative of teachers, attended the meeting. The meeting was presided over by Gong Rui, director of the 2020 graduate students and the director of the Party Building Branch Center of the Law School.
The opening ceremony opened with the solemn sound of the national anthem. First of all, Mr. Wang Guozheng, deputy secretary of the Party Committee of the College, introduced the new students of undergraduate and graduate students of the Law School in 2021.
Subsequently, Teacher Yan Shipeng shared with the students. Teacher Yan Shipeng said from the founding of the Communist Party of China to the rise of China's aircraft carriers and the continuous refresh of the high-speed rail mileage, hoping that the students would have the belief of "a strong country has me" and become a dreamer in China's new era and the inheritor of China's rule of law; he hoped that the students would hold the self-encouragement of "rewarding diligence with heaven", do a good job in career planning, and strive to achieve their life goals. Shi Feng, President of the Alumni Branch of Shanghai University Law School, entrusted Professor Wang Guozheng to speak. The director of the stone summit sent a message to the new students, hoping to continue the excellent performance of the previous alumni and continue to carry forward. At the same time, he put forward specific suggestions for the students: the first is to ask teachers for advice and exchanges; the second is to participate in more discipline competitions; the third is to connect with society, and finally choose a career direction suitable for themselves on the basis of mastering professional knowledge and improving professional skills.
Professor Li Fengzhang, Vice Dean of the Law School, explained the meaning of the law school motto for the new students, that The Law of Wei Li Shang law is the ideological guidance that legal people should have, and Ke Zheng Kejian is the action guide for legal people. Knowing reverence, being rational, abiding by the rules, practicing justice, and having persistence are the values contained in the academy's precepts. Teacher Li Fengzhang finally concluded that there should be no unique model for interpretation, and the academy's training should be continuously enriched and developed under the scrupulous observance and practice of every law student of Shanghai University.
Wang Genglin, a 2020 undergraduate student of the Law School, and Li Junfeng and Zhao Tao, a graduate student of the Class of 2021, spoke as representatives of the new students, and the wonderful speeches of the students expressed their vision and expectations for the future study and life, maintained a loving heart, and were legal people with temperature, height and depth.
Mr. Xu Guoming, Secretary of the Party Committee of the Law School, awarded the college emblem to the representatives of the new students. The small emblem carries the spiritual strength of the law school". Since then, all the new students have become a member of the Law School of Shanghai University, and have strengthened the driving force and direction of progress.
Professor Yuan Zhenfu, Vice Dean of the Law School, Mr. Lin Jianling, Secretary of the Youth League Committee, and Mr. Yang Xiaotong, Deputy Secretary of the Youth League Committee, respectively presented certificates to the winning teams of the first, second, and third prizes. The Shi Feng Scholarship is used to reward 17 teams participating in the 17th "Challenge Cup" National Extracurricular Academic Science and Technology Works Competition for College Students and the 13th "Self-Improvement Cup" Extracurricular Academic Science and Technology Works Competition for College Students of Shanghai University. Tong Ruirui, Vice President of Zeji Education, and Lu Xuefeng, Vice Dean of the Law School, presented the "Zeji Freshman Scholarship" to the winners. The scholarship aims to reward the top 10% of the students in this year's major category, the first prize winner: Wang Genglin, the second prize winner: Chen Xiran, Lu Zikun, He Xiulin.
In his speech, the Dean of the State of Literature asked, "Do you really love jurisprudence?" "Are you prepared to put in the hard work of studying law?" "Have you figured out how to study law well?" "Have you learned to self-manage?" Four questions, I hope that the students will truly take law as their future career pursuit, cherish the youth shaohua, learn self-management, and make hard efforts to finally realize the ideal of life.
The opening ceremony ended with the singing of the school song at the end. With the inspiring song, the new journey of the new students has begun, and I wish every student can learn something, learn something, and achieve a better life.
After the opening ceremony, the college held a meeting for the appointment and recognition of undergraduate tutors and the meeting of postgraduate tutors.
