When it comes to the Qing Dynasty painter Gao Fenghan, I am afraid that some people are not very clear, but when it comes to "Yangzhou Eight Monsters", everyone knows it. In fact, Gao Fenghan is one of the eight monsters of Yangzhou, and his poetry and paintings are exquisite, but unfortunately, the times are unlucky, the fate is uncertain, and he died of hunger in his later years.
But his contribution to culture and art was enormous, especially his "treasure map". (It is its famous Bogutu) caused major discoveries in the archaeological community and excavated prehistoric culture! You say odd is not strange.
One day more than two hundred years ago, Gao Fenghan went to hang out of the city and saw an old farmer half squatting in the field looking at something, And Gao Fenghan, out of curiosity, also went to check it out. It turned out that the old farmer had dug up a piece of pottery and was scraping the soil on it. Gao Fenghan didn't look at it, and jumped up happily when he saw it. This piece of pottery is too quaint, the shape is peculiar, the color is calm, and the traces of mottled are permeated with antiquity and vicissitudes.
The more Gao Fenghan looked at it, the more he liked it, and he couldn't let go. I took out the few big money I had on my body and bought it back. Put flowers on the desk, "Ah! It's so beautiful that it really makes the puffy shine! "Mr. Gao couldn't help but be overjoyed, and couldn't help but marvel at it, and the painting was suddenly full of life."
So the paper was laid, the pen walked the dragon and snake, and a famous work "Bogutu" was born. The picture is full of ancient charm, two lotus flowers are inserted in the pottery, the style is elegant, and the ink is dripping.

Of course, Gao Fenghan painted this painting with two meanings, one is that he likes this pottery very much, and the other is that he feels that this ancient artifact is absolutely unusual! He knew that the place where the pottery was unearthed was often excavated by people who dug up some broken pottery pieces, perhaps there were tombs underneath, or places where the ancients once gathered and multiplied. But it is difficult to dig up and study on its own meager strength. "Record it for future generations to study and discuss carefully!"
So Gao Fenghan inscribed a poem on this painting:
"The old tile kiln on the edge of the city of Mezi, Tian Fu dug out and said the former dynasty.
Ah Weng picked up lotus offerings and often knotted lotus room bowls.
After the inscription of the poem, another inscription was added to explain: Under the Yujia Jiezi City, the earth often gets clay utensils such as poppy pots, which can be filled with bottles, and the lotus flower room is as large as a bowl, full and solid, and has a city with its qi and enough creatures. ”
Just like this, a painting becomes a treasure map, but if the map is there, you have to meet someone with a heart. Just like a thousand-mile horse, it can't meet Bole, just like "the piao died between the grooves".
So the painting was scattered among the people and buried in Artemisia.

When the time passed in the winter of 1960, Mr. Liu Dunyan, a professor of history at Shandong University, found Gao Fenghan's "BoguTu" (some people say that what he saw was a fake) in the Qingdao Cultural Relics Store by chance, which caused Professor Liu to think:
Judging from the appearance of the container in this painting, this is an ancient pottery vessel ( reading rules ) , a vessel used by our ancestors to hold or boil water. The Jiezi City in Gao Fenghan's poem should refer to its original hometown in the Sanli River area of Jiaozhou, where there is a site from ancient times?
The idea is too good, too right. In 1961, Professor Liu Dunyan discovered the city of Jiezi based on Gao Fenghan's poem and the text, and after continuous research and searching, after several twists and turns, finally discovered the place where Gao Fenghan referred to as the "old tile kiln", which turned out to be a Neolithic Longshan culture ——— Jiaozhou "Sanlihe Ruins" (more than 4300 years ago). This major discovery unveiled the mystery of prehistoric civilization.
If gao Fenghan's painting had not provided important clues, I am afraid there would be no following. But Mr. Liu is equally important, without his care and perseverance, it is impossible to find such a large treasure.
Finally, two large-scale on-site excavations by the Shandong Institute of Archaeology of the Chinese Academy of Sciences determined that the site was superimposed on the Longshan culture and the Dawenkou culture, and a total of more than 2,000 precious cultural relics were unearthed, reappearing in front of the public.
