In order to learn the lessons of the 6.13 Shiyan gas explosion accident, the seven departments of Xiangyang City jointly issued a notice to install and use combustible gas alarm devices in the city's industries involving catering to eliminate potential safety hazards.
The main function of the gas alarm device is to prevent natural gas leakage. Its probe can detect natural gas leaks within 7 meters and transmit a signal to the alarm master switch after confirmation. The master switch generates an alarm while detecting an alarm leak and automatically shuts off the natural gas through an outdoor shut-off valve.
In September this year, the city's housing construction, urban management committee, market supervision, public security, commerce, emergency management, fire detachment seven departments jointly issued a notice, requiring the city's enterprises involved in the catering industry to install and use combustible gas alarm devices. However, from the inspection point of view, there are still some small and medium-sized catering enterprises that have not moved, and there are large fire hazards.
In this regard, the relevant person in charge of the municipal urban and rural construction comprehensive law enforcement detachment said that for industrial and commercial households that refuse to install gas gas alarm devices, as gas enterprises, they will report to the relevant departments for further treatment such as gas suspension and rectification in accordance with the law.
