Familiar with the history of the Three Kingdoms at the end of the Han Dynasty, this era of frequent wars, social turmoil, chaos in the world, the people living in a sea of fire, and those who have a certain degree of influence, have formed a local base force, such as Zhang Lu is a typical representative, originally Liu Yan's subordinate, was ordered to go to Hanzhong with the other sima Zhang Xiu, attacking Hanzhong Taishou Sugu. After Zhang Lu gained power in Hanzhong, he killed Zhang Xiu, cut off communications, and occupied the territory of Hanzhong. So how luxurious is the lineup of forces under Zhang Lu in Hanzhong?

When it comes to Zhang Lu's forces, they are mainly divided into three kinds of forces, foreign dependent forces, their own subordinate forces, and religious forces.
(1) Representatives of foreign dependent forces:
1. Ma Chao
Ma Chao (马超), also spelled Mengqi, was one of the heroes of the late Han Dynasty, who in his early years commanded the combined forces of the Battle of Pingyang and the Southern Xiongnu Hujiquan. After Ma Teng entered the capital, Ma Chaobai divided Fenghou into Yongzhou, and after failing to compete with Cao Cao for Guanzhong, he retreated to Liangzhou. In the spring of the nineteenth year of Jian'an (214), Ma Chao, who had defected to Zhang Lu, was greatly appreciated by Zhang Lu, and Feng Ma Chao was the capital of the Wudou Rice Dao at that time, whose status was second only to him, and planned to marry his daughter Zhang Qiying to Ma Chao, but under the advice of his subordinates, he repented.
2. Pound
Pound De, the character Lingming, around the beginning of the Ping Dynasty, defected to Ma Teng's tent and made many military achievements in the conquest of the Qiang people. During the Jian'an period, Pound followed Ma Chao on his campaign against the Yuan generals Guo Yuan and Gao Gan, and personally beheaded Guo Yuan at the first rank on the horse. When Zhang Bai rode in the Hongnong rebellion, Pound also participated in the battle. Each expedition often charged into battle, bravely championing the three armies of Liangzhou. In the nineteenth year of Jian'an (214), Pound again defected to Hanzhong with Ma Chao and was subordinate to Zhang Lu. In the twentieth year of Jian'an (215), Cao Cao pacified Hanzhong, and Pound surrendered with his followers.
3. Ma Dai
Ma Dai, Ma Chao's younger brother. In the early years, he followed Ma Chao in the battle against Cao Cao, and in September, Ma Chao was defeated, and Ma Dai returned to Longshang County with Ma Chao's retreat. In September of the eighteenth year of Jian'an (213), Ma Dai accompanied Ma Chao to Hanzhong to support Zhang Lu.
4. In the great chaos at the end of the Han Dynasty, Zhang Lu, according to Hanzhong, seduced the Ba and the leaders of Du ??、, Pu Hu, and Yuan Yue, who betrayed Liu Zhang, the pastor of Yizhou, and returned to himself, becoming Zhang Lu's benefactor force.
(2) Itself is subordinate to the forces
1. Zhang Wei
Zhang Wei, brother of Zhang Lu, is a chinese poet. Twenty years after Jian'an, Cao Cao attacked Zhang Lu, and Zhang Lu wanted to surrender, but Zhang Wei disagreed, leading tens of thousands of people to refuse to hold on. He then fled to Bazhong, where he engaged Xu Chu and was beheaded.
2. Yang Ren
Yang Ren, Zhang Lu's military general. When Cao Cao attacked Hanzhong, Zhang Lu's generals. When Cao Cao was recruiting Zhang Lu, Yang Ren accompanied Zhang Wei and others to guard Yang Pingguan, and later Cao Cao launched a night attack when Zhang Lu's army was lax in garrison, and Yang Ren was beheaded.
3. Yang Ang
Yang Ang, a general of Zhang Lu at the end of the Eastern Han Dynasty. On the orders of Zhang Lu, he led troops to help Ma Chao fight for Liangzhou. When Cao Cao attacked Hanzhong. Yang Ang and Zhang Lu's brother Zhang Wei guarded Yangping Pass, and both sides attacked and defended for many days, and were finally destroyed by Cao Cao.
4. Yang Bai
Yang Bai, a character in the classic "Romance of the Three Kingdoms", a general under Zhang Lu and the younger brother of Yang Song. Monitors Ma Chao, who is a subordinate of Zhang Lu. When Ma Chao submitted to Liu Bei, he was killed by Ma Chao to prove his intention to submit. According to Pei Songzhi's commentary on the Chronicle of the Three Kingdoms, Shushu and Ma Chao, pei songzhi quoted the "Classic Strategy": "(Zhang) Lu wanted Yang Bai and others to harm his ability, and (Ma) Chao fled from Wudu into The Qizhong and turned to Shu. The content here is similar to the plot about Yang Bai in the rendition, which shows that the "Yang Bai" in the rendition is mistaken for "Yang Bai".
5. Yan Pu
Yan Pu, a strategist under Zhang Lu, later surrendered to Cao Cao with Zhang Lu and was given the title of Marquis of Pingle Township.
6. Yang Song
Yang Song, a character in the novel Romance of the Three Kingdoms, is a strategist under Zhang Lu's tent and extremely greedy for money. When Cao Gong invaded Hanzhong, Yang Song, because he received his gold and silver, first harmed Pound De to make him throw himself into Cao Cao, and then for Cao Cao's internal response, the city was destroyed, because the seller sought glory, Cao Cao immediately ordered him to behead cao to the public.
(3) Religious forces
Zhang Xiu, a native of Ba County at the end of the Eastern Han Dynasty, was the true founder of Wudou Midao. The Book of the Later Han Dynasty and the Chronicle of the Ling Emperor says: "In the autumn and July of the first year of Zhongping (184 AD), the demon witch Zhang Xiu rebelled against the Kou County. [Note] quoting Liu Ai's "Ji" said: "When the witch Zhang Xiu healed his illness, the healer hired five buckets of rice, and the number was five buckets of rice." ”
According to historical records, Zhang Lu was in Hanzhong because he attacked Zhang Xiu's teachings and "added ornaments". He called himself "Shi Jun". Those who come to learn the Tao are initially called "ghost pawns", but those who have been believed in the Tao are called "sacrificial wine", and the leaders are all the people; those who lead many are called "the great sacrifice of the head". There are no chief officials, and local government affairs are managed by sacrificing wine. Inheriting the teachings of his ancestors, the faithful do not deceive, so that the sick turn themselves in; the offender is forgiven three times, and if he commits another offense, then he is punished; if it is a minor offense, he should build a hundred steps to atone for his sins. According to the "Moon Order", when all things grow in spring and summer, slaughter is prohibited, and alcoholism is prohibited. He also founded the Righteous House, which contained righteous rice and meat, provided free food for passers-by, and declared that if he took too much, he would offend the ghosts and gods and become ill.
If someone is sick, Zhang Lu will "lead the patient into the ashram and make him think about it", and then ask the patient to write his name, in triplicate, called "three official handwriting", "one of the mountains, on the mountain, one buried, one sinking water." It also issued an order prohibiting winemaking and prohibiting the killing of livestock in spring and summer, which is called "the people's yi and the pleasure". The offender "forgives the law three times" and is punished only if he commits another offense. Those who are lesser than the others will repair the road for a hundred steps.
Wudou Mijiao is an ancient version of the mass movement, similar to the Yellow Turban Uprising, with great revolutionary and extensive mass nature, so it is not difficult to imagine that not only the local ethnic minorities and the people support him, but also many ordinary people who flowed into Guanzhong to rely on him, which is why the territory and forces in the Ming and Han Dynasties were weaker than Liu Zhang, and why Liu Zhang asked Liu Bei to deal with Zhang Lu. Zhang Lu is a very powerful religious force that should not be underestimated.
