The number of birds in Wuyishan National Park has increased to 391 species

According to a report by Fujian Daily on November 3, the reporter learned from the Wuyishan Biological Research Institute of Fujian Province that on October 30, the scientific expedition investigators of the institute found the green-winged golden dove chalcophaps indica in the Wuyigong scenic spot of Wuyishan National Park, and this discovery increased the number of birds in Wuyishan National Park to the 391st species.

According to reports, the green-winged golden dove is a bird of the genus Golden Dove in the doves family, commonly known as the green-backed golden dove, medium size, body length of about 25 cm, tail is very short ground-dwelling spotted dove; the lower body is pink, the top of the head is gray, the forehead is white, the waist is gray, and the wings are bright green; the top of the female bird is not gray. The two black and white stripes on the back are clearly visible when flying. In the Red Book of Endangered Animals of China, Birds, the green-winged golden dove is listed as a vulnerable species.

In recent years, the investigation team of the Wuyishan Institute of Biology in Fujian Province has successively found the Bishi Warbler, the Grey-crowned Wren Warbler and the Pale-tailed Wren Warbler in Wuyishan National Park, all of which are new records of birds in Fujian Province. These discoveries mean that the ecological environment of Wuyi Mountain is getting better and better.
