Beijing will hold the 2021 National Elderly Care Vocational Skills Competition Beijing Division Selection Competition, and outstanding players will participate in the national competition held in November, providing a strong guarantee for promoting the overall improvement of the old-age service industry to refinement, specialization and scale.
According to reports, the "2021 National Elderly Care Vocational Skills Competition Beijing Division Selection Competition" is jointly organized by the Beijing Civil Affairs Bureau, the Beijing Municipal Human Resources and Social Security Bureau, and hosted by the Beijing Elderly Care Industry Association, which lasts for three days, including theoretical knowledge competition, operation skills competition and continuous improvement care plan competition.
Among them, the practical skills test questions mainly involve three occupational function modules such as life care, basic care, and rehabilitation services, and take dementia care and infection prevention and control skills as important supplements. Different from the practical skills competition in the traditional model, this competition introduces the physical and mental care needs of the elderly through real scenarios, and the contestants must complete the specific tasks given by the three occupational function modules in the three care service scenarios such as home, community and institution, and should run through the whole process of safety care, psychological support, humanistic care, health education, occupational safety and protection. At the same time, a continuous improvement care plan competition was designed, that is, after completing the actual care, combined with the existing situation of the elderly, according to the changes in the needs of care, a continuous improvement care plan was formulated, focusing on the contestants' clerical ability and thinking ability.
Contestants are selected from each district selection competition. According to statistics, nearly 100 players were recommended by the 16 districts of the city competition, showing four obvious characteristics of "private, five-star, young and female". In terms of population composition, 80% of them come from pension institutions, 20% from pension service stations, the number of participants in public institutions accounts for about 15%, and the vast majority of players are from nutrition institutions; the players of beijing five-star pension institutions certified by the association have all entered the municipal selection competition through the district competition, showing a relatively strong professional and technical strength. From the perspective of age distribution, 50% of players under the age of 30, about 23% of the players between the ages of 30 and 40, and about 27% of the players over the age of 40. From the perspective of personnel structure, women account for about 90% and are the main force of the elderly care team.
Wu Bei, second-level inspector of the Beijing Civil Affairs Bureau, said that one of the most urgent measures to promote the high-quality development of old-age services is the need to accelerate the construction of a professional old-age service talent team with moderate scale, excellent quality and reasonable structure, making it a strong talent support, and the elderly care workers are the main providers and backbones of the entire old-age service talent team. It is hoped that through the form of competition, we will give full play to the leading role, fully display the superb skills and professional style of Beijing elderly care workers, encourage the morale of the city's elderly care talent team, attract more young professionals to devote themselves to the elderly care industry, and effectively enhance the sense of professional responsibility, mission and honor.
As the main promoter of the development of the regional pension industry, Li Dong, secretary general of the Beijing Pension Industry Association, said that the Beijing Division Selection Competition of the National Pension Nursing Vocational Skills Competition is a landmark project for Beijing to promote the construction of the pension service talent team, and unlike the pension care competition held in previous years, this year's municipal competition has been comprehensively improved in various dimensions such as technical rules, event organization, and news publicity. In addition to the traditional theoretical knowledge and operational skills competition, the assessment of the COMET vocational ability assessment part has been added to the finalists, requiring the players to have the ability to formulate a continuous improvement plan for the care of the elderly.
After three days of competition, the ranking of 18 players was freshly released. The top 6 outstanding players in the overall ranking stand out, they will become the preparatory recommended players for the national finals, and then will enter the intense pre-competition closed training. After the assessment, the top 4 players with comprehensive results will be recommended to participate in the 2021 National Elderly Care Vocational Skills Competition held in November on behalf of Beijing Municipality.
The reporter learned that with reference to the award settings of the national competition, the first prize winners of the Beijing Municipal Selection Competition were awarded the title of "Beijing Technical Expert" and a certificate was issued. The first prize winner of the national finals will be awarded the title of "National Technical Expert".
