The 2021 CCS Day event kicked off
On October 21, China Classification Society (CCS) and Shanghai Maritime University jointly held the "CCS Day" event in a combination of online and offline methods. Lu Jing, President of Shanghai Maritime University, and Mo Jianhui, President of CCS, attended the event and delivered speeches. Li Zhipeng, deputy secretary of the party committee and vice president of Shanghai Maritime University, presided over the meeting, Meng Lingyi, general manager of CCS Shanghai Branch, Guo Jianjun, deputy general manager, Wang Gang, deputy director of Shanghai Institute of Norms, attended the meeting on the spot, and relevant comrades of ccS headquarters human resources department and office attended the meeting by video.
President Lu Jing said that CCS and Shanghai Maritime University have broad space and development prospects for cooperation in many fields such as shipping, sea and transportation. On October 20, 2019, the two sides signed a strategic cooperation alliance unit agreement to jointly promote high-level and high-quality development of the two sides, and carried out fruitful cooperation in curriculum teaching, academic exchanges, talent recruitment and the establishment of scholarships. It is hoped that in the future, we will further deepen cooperation in strengthening resource sharing, realizing talent co-education, and striving for project co-research.
President Mo Jianhui pointed out that Shanghai Maritime University has many excellent resources, excellent talents, and has carried out a series of professional research in related disciplines, with rich theoretical accumulation, strong complementarity between the two sides, close cooperation and fruitful results. At the same time, Shanghai Maritime University has long supported the development of CCS in talent training, scientific and technological research and development, specification formulation, software development, etc., and has sent many outstanding talents to the classification society. It is hoped that in the future, the two sides will continue to deepen cooperation, seek common development, and work together to build a development community, a technical community and a quality community in the whole industry.
At the meeting, Meng Lingyi, General Manager of CCS Shanghai Branch, presented books such as "China Ship Genealogy Volume II" and "Guide to Ship Technical Specifications" to Shanghai Maritime University on behalf of CCS. Wang Gang, deputy director of the Shanghai Institute of Norms, made a special technical development report for the teachers and students of the school, elaborated on the attributes and core business of the classification society, and comprehensively introduced the CCS standard system, engineering software system, participation in national scientific research projects, laboratory construction, key technologies and achievements.
In the afternoon, the two sides also held a CCS Shanghai Haida Alumni Symposium, the head of the Personnel Office of the Shanghai Branch introduced the recruitment needs of CCS talents, and the three Shanghai Haida alumni shared their experience in working and learning at CCS, and gave careful and meticulous answers to the questions raised by Shanghai Maritime University students about professional fit, future career planning, and development.
The second "CCS Day" of Shanghai Maritime University for the first time released the talent recruitment plan in the form of an online VR cloud exhibition hall, and set up a comprehensive booth and communication window in the school library to expand the audience of students and spread the ccS brand culture in a way that is closer to young people.
The "CCS Day" activity further deepened the exchanges and cooperation between CCS and Shanghai Maritime University, formed a good situation of complementary advantages, resource sharing, research and study co-construction, mutual benefit and win-win results, and laid a solid foundation for the two sides to jointly implement the national strategy of transportation power, marine power and shipping power and accelerate the construction of Shanghai international shipping center.
