A few days ago, when the Huangpu Customs under the Laogang Customs Inspection Department inspected two batches of hedgehog rosewood rough sawfang from Ghana and The Côte d'Ivoire Rough Sawtooth, it was found that there were a large number of brightly colored Tianniu at the scene, especially the whole batch of wood borer borer powder of the Ivorian Wood Rough Sawfang was very obvious.
According to the identification of the plant inspection laboratory, the two batches of pests are both philematium festivum, which is the first interception at the Guangdong port.
The pest is mainly distributed in Ghana, Sierra Leone, Guinea, Senegal and other African countries, according to the data, the intercepted pale green sky cow has had a relatively serious forest hazard incident in various regions and many types of tree species in the above countries. Once this pest is introduced to China, it will pose a great threat to our forest production and ecological environment.
According to statistics, the two batches of timber intercepted by Huangpu Customs totaled 253.976 tons and 176 cubic meters, and have been fumigated and dehasted in accordance with relevant regulations.
Customs especially reminds that most countries and regions in Africa have relatively backward and rough treatment measures for wood, and the risk of carrying various wood epidemics is high.
