Since 2018, convict Shi Jianxiong has repeatedly urged him unsuccessfully because the victim Zhu Mou (51 years old) and Hu Mou (female, aged 49) owe him 2,025 yuan on credit.
At about 8:30 a.m. on April 3, 2020, Shi Jianxiong went to the rented residence of Zhu and his wife in Tianshui Town, HuanXian County, and asked for the arrears again, and was insulted and beaten by the two, and Hu mou denied that he owed him money.
Shi Jianxiong then had the idea of taking revenge, purchased a single-edged knife with a wooden handle in a shop in the street of Sweetwater Town, returned to Zhu and his wife's rented accommodation at 9:16 on the same day, and stabbed Zhu and Hu several times in the chest and back with a knife, causing the two to die on the spot. After committing the crime, Shi Jianxiong surrendered himself to the public security organs.

On September 16, 2020, the Qingyang City Intermediate People's Court sentenced defendant Shi Jianxiong to death for intentional homicide and deprivation of political rights for life in the first instance. After the judgment was pronounced, neither defendant Shi Jianxiong nor the plaintiffs in the attached civil lawsuits filed an appeal.
After reporting to the Gansu Provincial High People's Court for review, it was agreed that the first instance trial sentenced Shi Jianxiong to death for intentional homicide and deprivation of political rights for life. Upon review by the Supreme People's Court, it was approved to sentence convict Shi Jianxiong to death and deprived of his political rights for life.
Before carrying out the death penalty, the Qingyang City Intermediate People's Court arranged for convict Shi Jianxiong to meet with his close relatives in accordance with the law, fully protecting the lawful rights of the executed convict.

The Qingyang Intermediate People's Court found that in November 2018, defendant Shi Jianxiong took stock of a grain, oil and vegetable store in Tianshui Town, Huan County, and sold the remaining ingredients cheaply. During this period, the victim couple who ran a noodle shop next door to the shop bought flour at Shi Jianxiong's shop, and later owed a total of 2,025 yuan worth of rice, noodles, eggs, spices and other ingredients on credit.
Shi Jianxiong repeatedly demanded the money owed, and the couple shirked it for various reasons. On March 26 and 27, 2020, Shi Jianxiong continued to send WeChat videos, phone calls, and messages to the victims and couples to urge the arrears, but the other party ignored them.
At about 8:30 a.m. on April 3, 2020, defendant Shi Jianxiong drove to the victim's rented residence, knocked on the door without answering, Shi Jianxiong confirmed to the landlord that he was in the room and knocked on the door again, but still no one answered.
A few minutes later, he returned to the courtyard and knocked on the door, the victim Zhu Mou opened the door, the two sides had a dispute over this, so they became resentful, and had the idea of stabbing the couple with a knife.
After that, Shi Jianxiong went to the street to find and buy tools for committing crimes, and after several trips, he went to a hardware store to buy a sharp knife. He then drove to the victim's rented accommodation again and stabbed him with a knife, causing the second victim to die of hemorrhagic shock. Shi Jianxiong immediately left the scene and surrendered to the police station.
The Qingyang Intermediate People's Court held that the defendant Shi Jianxiong could not correctly handle the debt relationship between him and the victim's couple and the disputes and conflicts arising therefrom, and deliberately stabbed the second victim with a knife, causing the death of the second victim, and his behavior constituted the crime of intentional homicide.
Although this case was triggered by a civil debt dispute, the second victim did not repay the debt for a long time, but instead insulted and insulted the defendant when Shi Jianxiong came to the door to ask for it, the victim's behavior was at fault in the cause of the case. After Committing a crime, Shi Jianxiong can also voluntarily surrender, truthfully confess the facts of his crime, and have the circumstances of voluntary surrender.
However, because Shi Jianxiong had the idea of stabbing the second victim with a knife only because of his debts and verbal conflicts, he vigorously prepared and deliberately chose the tools of the crime, returned to the victim's rented residence for the second time, and stabbed the second victim's key part directly, repeatedly, and many times, causing the second victim to die on the spot due to hemorrhagic shock; after the incident, no economic compensation was made to the victim's relatives.
Therefore, Shi Jianxiong's criminal behavior is extremely bad, the means are extremely cruel, the consequences are extremely serious, and the personal danger is extremely great, which is not enough to give a lenient punishment. The court then rendered the aforesaid judgment in accordance with law.
