The Board of Directors of Xinhuanet Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as the "Company") today received a written resignation report from Mr. Tian Shubin, Chairman and President of the Company. Due to the reason of job transfer, Mr. Tian Shubin proposed to the Board of Directors of the Company to resign as the chairman, director and president of the Company, the convener and member of the Strategy and Development Committee of the Board of Directors of the Company, and the convener and member of the Editorial Policy Committee of the Board of Directors. At the same time, Mr. Tian Shubin no longer serves as the legal representative of the company. After his resignation, Mr. Tian Shubin no longer holds any other position in the company. According to the relevant provisions of the Company Law and the Articles of Association of the Company, Mr. Tian Shubin's resignation as a director did not cause the number of board members of the company to fall below the statutory minimum number, and did not affect the normal work of the board of directors of the company. Mr. Tian Shubin's resignation report shall take effect from the date of delivery to the Board of Directors of the Company. The Board of Directors and all Directors of the Company warrant that the contents of this announcement are free from any misrepresentation, misleading statement or material omission and accept sole and several liability for the truthfulness, accuracy and completeness of the contents. Xinhuanet Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as the "Company") held the eighth (provisional) meeting of the fourth board of directors of the company by means of a communication vote on July 14, 2021, and the meeting should be attended by 9 directors and 9 directors actually attended. The meeting passed the "Proposal on the Appointment of the President of the Company and the Change of the Legal Representative" by 9 votes in favor, 0 votes against and 0 abstentions, and agreed to appoint Mr. Liu Jian as the president of the company, and the term of office is the same as that of the fourth board of directors of the company, which is calculated from the date of deliberation and approval by the board of directors. Mr. Liu Jian, Han ethnicity, born in January 1972, member of the Communist Party of China, bachelor degree, senior journalist title, graduated from Shandong University in July 1992 majoring in Chinese language and literature.

From July 1992 to May 2003, he was a reporter at the Henan Branch of Xinhua News Agency;

From May 2003 to July 2003, he was a reporter at the Chongqing Branch of Xinhua News Agency;

From July 2003 to January 2009, he served as deputy editor-in-chief of the Editor-in-Chief Office of Chongqing Branch of Xinhua News Agency;

From January 2009 to December 2012, he served as the executive deputy editor-in-chief of the Editor-in-Chief Office of The Chongqing Branch of Xinhua News Agency;

From December 2012 to March 2016, he served as vice president of the Chongqing branch of Xinhua News Agency and member of the party group;

From March 2016 to November 2016, he served as vice president of the Chongqing branch of Xinhua News Agency and member of the party group;

From November 2016 to April 2021, he served as the director of the Jiangxi branch of Xinhua News Agency and the secretary of the party group;
