First, the formation of rust spots
Rust spots are mainly formed by the light oxidation of iron in stone. Ferrous water and oxygen are the three major factors that contribute to the formation of rust spots. In general, we divide it into two categories according to the different levels of rust spot reaction:
(1) Deep rust spots.
Many stone varieties, especially granite, contain a certain proportion of iron components, when these iron components are in full contact with water and oxygen, it will cause oxidation reactions and generate rust spots. Stones that are particularly prone to such rust spots as: American white hemp, Shandong white hemp (small flowers), embroidered stone (slate) and so on. In addition, the alkaline in the cement reacts with the iron in the stone under the action of water, and rust spots will also form.
(2) Surface rust spots.
In the process of mining, processing, transportation and installation, stone leaves a small amount of iron residue after the surface is in contact with iron objects, and these iron residues will react with the moisture and oxygen in the air to produce rust spots.
Second, the treatment of rust spots
The treatment method of rust spots is mainly to use rust removers for treatment. When descaling treatment, the following points should be noted.

There are many sources of stains formed on the surface of the stone. Some are caused by pollution from the environment, some are caused by improper construction materials or poor construction methods during construction, and the general common situations are yellowing, discoloration, residual cement slag, fast-drying adhesive, adhesive, adhesive, wood pigment, etc.;
Another kind of pollution is man-made, such as tea stains, cola, coffee, soy sauce, etc., a variety of different stains as long as the choice of appropriate brand of stone special cleaning agent can be effectively removed.
To prevent stone pollution, the most effective way is to do stone protection treatment, especially before the installation of stone protection treatment, but also can effectively avoid improper construction or pollution caused by decoration, or at least at the time of new completion of the first protective treatment, so as to avoid the inconvenience of maintenance and construction after the building is opened.
